I am very sceptical when it comes to anything that claims it can help you lose weight as I have tried so many things in the past. I had seen Adios advertised on the TV a few times and decided to look in Boots/Superdrug to see how much they cost. I bought them from superdrug as they were cheaper and on offer for £7.99 for 100 tablets.
At first glance you wouldn't even think they were for weight loss as they just look like any other tablets I have taken - medicine or vitamins etc. I wasn't sure how a tablet was going to help me lose weight but gave them a go. From reading the pack I gathered they work by helping your body speed up the rate that calories are turned into energy therefore burned off. They only work alongside a healthy diet and exercise. After reading the pack I felt like they pointless as you still needed to exercise and eat healthy which would make you lose weight anyway.
You have to take the tablets 3 times a day - they taste and smell awful so 3 times a day was sometimes a struggle. I took the whole pack and lost the same amount of weight I had lost the previous month when I wasn't taking the tablets. Over the last 6 months I have stopped eating rubbish food and have started having my 5 day, snacking on fruit and doing 1 hour exercise a day. I am slowly losing the extra pounds but the tablets didn't help me lose any more than usual.
Overall they didn't work for me. I have read reviews that say people shed a lot of weight whilst taking them so they may just work for certain people. For just under £8 they are worth trying if you struggle with losing weight.
Most people think that these tablets dont work but when I took them while dieting I did really get the feeling that they were speeding up the loosing weight process. Without cutting back on food they dont make a difference to helping you loose weight but thats because they can only speed up how quickly food is digested but with a low callorie diet I belive that they made a difference, it wasnt a huge difference but when loosing weight I think every little helps.
I would reccomed this product to anyone who was thinking of loosing weight because I belive that without taking these I would of lost weight much slower. These tablets are easy to take and are small which is good and they also taste nice so thats also a bonus. I did not notice any bad side effects when taking them but they do make your stomach feel like its working quite fast and they also seem to make me need the toilet a lot more than usual which I think they are supposed to do. You also get a lot of tablets in a pack which is good and they seem like a good value for money product.
I bought these recently after putting on a bit of weight over the christmas period. I read lots of reviews on different types of weight loss pills before buying, and I have to say they didnt help me decide as they all had mixed reviews and no one seemed to agree on which ones actually worked and which ones didnt. I finally came to the conclusion that different ones work for different people, and I decided to get these purely based on the fact that they were on sale in Boots with a 3rd off, and they were pink and jumped out at me from the shelf, and they are completely natural.
They cost me around £8 from Boots for 100 tablets, they comes in an eyecathing pink box and inside there is a little plastic container holding the pills. The pills are a flat rounded shape and seem to be sugar coated, although I have never kept one in my mouth long enough to test this with taste. They smell absolutely horrible, so I tend to throw one in my mouth and wash it down with some water as quickly as possible.
The instructions say to take one tablet, 3 times a day before mealtimes - it also states that it is not necessary to take them before food, but suggests this as an easy way to ensure you are taking them at regular intervals throughout the day.
They contain natural ingredients, but the main ingredient is a herb called Fucus, which is supposed to speed up your metabolism to help you lose weight, without making you feel hungry all the time.
Do they work I hear you ask, well....the other reviews I had read are mixed, but for me YES THEY DO! I have been taking them for 2 weeks now and I have lost just under half a stone. I have limited my calorie intake slightly, but I am not doing this by counting calories, I am just being sensible with my snacks (fruit, yoghurt etc) and I have made my meal portions smaller, cut back on the mayonaise, chips etc etc. I havent really started doing more exercise but I am on my feet at work all day anyway. Normally I wouldnt lose any weight if I did this, I would just stop gaining weight so I am very happy with the results of these.
I have suffered no side effects, I read a lot on the internet about feeling sick, stomach pains, hair loss (this is the particular one that worried me!) but so far I have experienced none of this.
Overall I would definitely recommend these to anyone wanting a bit of help losing those pounds gained over christmas. Obviously they are going to work differently for different people, and dont expect to be able to stuff your face and sit on your bum all day and still lose weight - they're not miracle workers and they dont do the hard work for you! But they have definitely worked for me and are helping me to shed those extra pounds I want to get rid of.
WHAT ARE THEY?
Tablets you take before meals to help speed up weight loss.
HOW DO YOU USE THEM?
Take one tablet just prior to a meal with a large glass of water.
HOW DO THEY WORK?
Adios Maximum Strength contain Fucus, this is a herbal ingredient that mildly stimulates your thyroid to help speed up your metabolism. Taking them with water helps you to feel fuller when you start eating and can help you to limit your food intake.
DO THEY WORK?
I have been taking Adios Maximum Strength for 5 weeks since I started eating healthily to lose a few pounds for Christmas. I have only reduced my calorie intake slightly because I do not want to lose very much weight. I have lost 2lbs every week and one week I lost 3lbs, usually I would only lose 1lb a week because I do not limit my food intake very much and I am not strict with myself.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
I felt sick after my meals for the first few days but it was not severe and only lasted for a few minutes. There are some people who cannot take Adios for medical reasons, that is people with thyroid or liver problems but also if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
WILL I BUY THEM AGAIN?
I am happy with Adios Maximum Strength and they have helped me to make the most of my diet. They are only small so are easy to swallow and they do not taste of anything. I think they are good if you have any amount of weight to lose because my daughters childminder has got a lot of weight to lose and they gave helped her lose 3 stones in 4 months so far and she is not very good on her diet so the tablets are helping.
I buy my Adios Maximum Strength from Sainsburys and they cost £10 for 100 tablets.
5 Dooyoo Stars.
Adios Max is a maximum strength version of Adios to help speed weight loss naturally, as part of a calorie-controlled diet with exercise. Adios Max contains a strong natural herbal ingredient called Fucus, which helps to speed up the bodyes metabolic rate and in turn, promotes weight loss. Adios Max works by acting on the body's metabolism: it contains a mild thyroid stimulant, which speeds up the body's metabolic rate. In other words, Adios Max can accelerate the rate at which the body converts food stores, e.g. fat, into energy. When used as part of a calorie controlled diet this can lead to a loss in calories and, consequently, a loss in weight. The purpose of the other active ingredients is to work together to increase this effect through stimulation of the liver. Do not take Adios Max: - If you have a thyroid disorder - If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to fucus dry extract or any of the other ingredients - If you are under 16 years of age. Before taking this product, talk to your doctor if you have an intolerance to some sugars (e.g. lactose intolerance). Using other medicines: Adios Max is not known to affect, or to be affected by, other medicines. However, problems of this sort are theoretically possible. If you are taking other medicines and are in any doubt about taking Adios Max you should talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
