These Hunger Strips are supposed to stop you from having hunger pangs/cravings and therefore reduce the amount you snack which would in theory help you to lose weight. But my personal experience of this product was that it had absoloutely no effect whatsover. All i basically had to do was place one of these hunger strips on my tongue, it dissolved instantly and had a slightly minty taste. I did this at around early lunch time because this is when my hunger usually kicks in but it wasn't time for my lunch yet. The strip did nothing at all to stop my hunger, i felt exactly the same as always.
I got a few of my friends to test out a strip or two as well and they also found it had no effect against their hunger pangs. The pack contains 24 blue strips which are encased in a little micro container which is handy to carry them in your handbag, if only they actually worked!
Depending on where you buy these strips they will cost you between £2.40 - £3, i bought mine in Asda. I think they are a total waste of money, it is a brilliant idea to make little strips that melt on your tongue instantly and stop you from feeling hungry, but it is an idea that is sadly too good to be true as this product proved!
Now Slim Hunger Strips:
Being on a diet and not having enough to do don't go together well; I get bored and then the temptation to snack is increased, so when I saw these little strips I thought I would give them a go.
The strips look for all the world like little plastic strips, (they are in fact mad of cellulose, which is, I think, a kind of sugar from plant cells). They are pale green and almost see-through with little brown specks. They are supposed to suppress the appetite and stop you snacking between meals.
The strips come in a little plastic case which closes with a good click meaning they don't fall out and get wasted in your bag/pocket.
To use the strips you simply place one on your tongue and let it dissolve, (don't put one on your tongue if you have a dry mouth). I found that they tended to burn my tongue a little and then turn into goo. They did instantly stop the cravings which is great.
The strip cost £2.99, (at Asda), for 24 strips which I personally think is expensive but they do work so I guess they are worth it.
The strips contain no calories, no fat, no salt, no carbs and no protein; obviously they don't fill you up they just stop you being hungry for a few hours.
I think they are fantastic and I will defiantly continue to buy them. The positives, (nice slim me and no cravings), far outweigh the negatives, (price and burning tongue).
