Ted Baker iPhone Case
by PandaEyes
I love the brand Ted Baker and every time I go shopping in House of Fraser or any other department stores that sell the Ted Baker range I always look at their products. I would buy some of their products if it wasn't for the price, as some of the Ted Baker products can be quite pricey. It was a recent trip in House of Fraser when I ... noticed these iPhone cases. I was in need of a case or cover for my iPhone as I didn't have one at the time, and these were only priced at £29 each. This may seem quite expensive for a case but most of the good quality cases for iPhones are priced at around £25 anyway. I love the design of the case with the bow on it and so decided to finally treat myself to something from Ted Baker, seeing as I did actually need something to protect my iPhone, and it was a lot cheaper than the £69 purse and £199 handbag I had my eye on!
The case was available in 3 different colours: yellow with a white bow, black with a white bow and a light pink with a slightly darker pink bow. After recently looking on the Ted Baker website this is also available in dark pink with a redy/orange bow too. I opted for the light pink one as I like a bit of colour and it looks very girly. Just underneath the bow is the 'Ted Baker London' logo.
I tried the case out first before buying it and my iPhone 4s fit in perfectly. I do think the case is specifically designed for iPhone's and I don't think any other phones would fit, unless of course it was smaller than the iPhone 4. The phone does not fall out of the case either and to take the phone out you need to simply pull the strap that hangs out of the back of the case upwards and the phone will slide up. The strap itself is quite a thin material, with a little gold plate on the end that has 'Ted baker' imprinted on it. At first i was very careful when pulling the strap as i thought it might snap easily, but after using this for the past month it is still very secure and so there really is no need to be really gentle with it, it is stronger than it looks.
The only bad thing about this is that from pulling the strap ao much it has actually started to appear slightly dirty. It won't help if you have just applied make-up on your hands etc. Therefore I have now been trying to pull the strap by just holding the gold plate part and not the actual material of the strap, to prevent it from getting any dirtier.
I do love the case and although it requires me having to pull my phone out whenever it goes off to check what the notification is for, I don't mind as it protects the front of my phone and not just the back, like a lot of other iPhone cases do. I always had to keep my phone in a separate part of my bag before it had a case to prevent it from getting scratched from anything such as keys, but now it does not matter now I have this case.
It is a very girly case and I would definitely recommend this to any girl who wants to protect the front and back of their iPhone. I have had quite a few compliments on the case since I purchased it and now my friends all want the case too! I also think it would make a lovely gift. This is available to purchase on the Ted Baker website for £29 where they are currently offering free delivery too, but also House of Fraser which is where I bought mine and John Lewis. Amethyst iPig iPod Speaker Dock
by k444tmc
I first saw this iPig early last year when out shopping and I thought it looked very cute but was not something I would neccessarily purchase myself. However on my 24th birthday last year I had been given this by my now ex-boyfriend as a part birthday present. From what he told me he had bought it from Amazon.
He had been ... looking for a music dock for my iPhone 4 and because I had pointed out how cute this one is in the past and the fact that the box states it does support iPhone 4's he decided on this one.
**********
Contents
As well as the iPig you also get a remote control so your not forever having to run to the dock to control it and also a 3.5mm AUX input to connect to a TV, game console or other music sources.
You also recieve a number of different changable plastic connectors depending on what type of iPod/iPhone you have so that it sits in the top correctly.
**********
What does it look like?
The iPig is mainly hot pink in colour and sits on four little legs. It has a mouth and nose feature (the mouth actually lights up in different colours when the dock is in use) and the eyes are actually speakers. The ears on the top operate the volume - one of the ears puts the volume up and the other puts it down.

What have I used it for?
In the past I have played music through it directly from my iPhone and my iPod and I have also connected it to my TV when playing on the playstation.

Sound
Without fail each time I have used it, the sound comes out great and I think its important that you can play around with the sound settings like you can on this one, otherwise it can come out sounding distorted if you are playing bass music.
**********
Ease of use
The dock is very easy to set up and was also very easy for me to connect up to my Playstation so I would think its likely it works well with other sound sources.
My 6 year old daughter also loves this and she has no problems using it.

My verdict
Overall appearance looks great - it definetly is the cutest ipod dock out there and would be more suited to a teenager / young woman who loves pink and cute things - or a young girl.
Its very easy to use and does sound great compared to other iPod docks I have seen.
One thing I hate about this dock however is the fact that it is supposed to work with iPhone 4's as the packaging claims - there is changable heads for the top of the dock to place your music device in - when you use these to try and sit the iPhone 4 into it doesn't sit properly and can take a while fiddling round and having to move the iPhone 4 around before you get any sound out of the speaker. It is a bit of a pain to me, and if this will annoy you and you want to purchase this to use with an iPhone 4 I personally wouldn't bother.

Price & Availability
These seem to be cheaper on Amazon but you do find them in many shops and you can also buy in black, yellow and white - if you don't want a pink one. Read the complete review |
