Hama "Dynamic" CD Wallet 64
by InchyInchy
Hama Dynamic Cd Wallet 64, Black/blue
When my now husband and then boyfriend moved into my flat he came with a lot of baggage, literally. There were all the usual items which I was prepared for but there was also a DVD and game library like I had never known. He made my poor little shelf collection of films look and feel ... very inadequate. Something had to be done as there just wasn't any room for all of them. That is when we got our first disc wallet to use as a space saving storage.
Even now when we have moved out of our first tiny flat and into a spacious house we still use these storage wallets rather than invest in some sort of unit to display all the films on. I'm not a huge fan of having a wall of DVD's and or games being on display, that is not to mean I don't like it in other people's houses it's just something I don't want in my own house. As far as the Xbox goes, I would rather have the games out of the way than on display.
This storage wallet is made of a durable nylon and neoprene material and has a suede type look about it, it comes in black/blue design that really looks rather attractive. Of all the cases we have like this, this is the most attractive looking. One feature about this that I do really like is that it has a wrist strap, which makes it easy to grab and carry around.
The CD/DVD/game sections are easy to access and it holds 64 discs. I think ours in currently half full and it is still easy to turn all the pages and flick through. We've never had even one disc that has been scratched or damaged whilst being stored in this case. The sleeves are antistatic and I have never noticed any dust build up, so I assume it works well. This has a great price tag, for how much use we have from this I think it is a bargain, you can currently buy this from Amazon for a very reasonable £8.80.
This is a great product, we have had so much use out of ours, which is why I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this as a great way to store a DVD collection. I would happily give this a five out of five star rating, it really is a great addition to our home and keeps everything organised and clutter free. Read the complete review |

Fellowes CD Wallet 224

Fellowes CD Wallet 224
When my now husband and then boyfriend moved into my flat he came with a lot of baggage, literally. He made my poor little shelf collection of films look and feel very ... inadequate. Something had to be done as there just wasn't any room for all of them. I can't quite remember whether we bought from Curry or Comet's but I remember thinking at the time that this seemed like such an expensive price to pay for what essentially a rather boring storage item was. However, we have since invested in more of these type wallets and I no longer complain or even blink at the price, they are great addition to our home. At the moment you can buy this from Amazon for £27.69 and it is worth every penny.
Even now when we have moved out of our first tiny flat and into a spacious house we still use these storage wallets rather than invest in some sort of unit to display all the films on. I'm not a huge fan of having a wall of DVD's being on display, that is not to mean I don't like it in other people's houses it's just something I don't want in my own house.
My husband always removes the DVD cover slip and he stores these at the back of the wallet, meaning that there is always the possibility to return them back to boxes in the future. The only DVD's that don't make it into the wallet are fancy Box sets or Blu-ray's, mainly because we don't have that many of either as of yet.
This storage wallet is made of a durable nylon material and comes in black with a small Fellowes stamp on the bottom corner. The CD/DVD sections are easy to access and it holds 224 DVD's. I think ours in currently mostly full and it is still easy to turn all the pages and flick through. We've never had even one disc that has been scratched or damaged whilst being stored in this case. One word of warning thou, this does get heavy when it is full, I bruised my foot once when I dropped this by accident. However, I think I was more at fault due to my clumsy nature than this case can be held responsible.
This is a great product if you have a use in mind, however, for occasional use it would be a pricey item. We have had so much use out of ours, which is why I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this as a great way to store a DVD collection. I would happily give this a five out of five star rating, it really is a great addition to our home and keeps everything organised and clutter free. Read the complete review |

Gear4 LeatherWallet N3 for iPod nano (3G)
by SoadFan
Anyone with an iPod or MP3 player of any kind will know that there are times when you wish you had a sturdy case to protect it and the precious down loaded music within it. There are many variations of MP3 players and iPods and you need to look for a case to suit the unit you have.
We wanted a decent quality leather case for ... an iPod 3G, as after dropping it on the floor one day, the screen froze and we thought it was broken. Luckily it turned out to be ok but we didn't want to risk damaging it again.
After looking on Amazon we eventually found 2 different cases that were nice. We decided to go for the Gear4 Leather iPod Wallet which looked nice and sturdy. I think at the time it was priced at £16 or so, but having checked today it is now for sale for £18.

I do feel that for the quality and protection the product gives, that it a fair price for the wallet. However you can shop around and find cheaper variations on a similar theme to this one or look at iPod socks or sleeves instead.
The iPod wallet is made by Gear 4 and it comes in a nicely presented box with a dark blue background, black exterior and a clear section for you to view the case within. It says that the wallet is a premium leather product and once out of the box I must say its a nice little case. The box is neat and the case inside looks good enough to give as a gift.

The actual wallet is nice to look at and feels like its a decent quality leather. The out side of the wallet is black and understated. The wallet folds across itself and envelopes your iPod in a protective way. The Gear 4 logo is clearly located on the front of the wallet and it doesn't detract from its look at all.
The wallet is for the iPod 3G version, which is the square ish shaped small 8g iPod with the rounded corners. The Gear 4 wallet only fits this iPod and not the more recent ones. But there are other products that are similar for the newer iPod units.
This particular wallet is really good when in use, as you can still access the iPod whilst the unit is held within the leather holder. Once you have finished listening to your music, you can close the wallet securely and safely.

The interior of the wallet has a special pocket, shaped for holding the iPod. The pocket has an open shaped front which whilst protected, allows you to access the iPods circular control.
The interior colour is a very smart and subtle light beige and it sets off the black exterior really well. There are sections within the interior for cards etc which is a handy touch, if you need them. The suede inside is a very nice touch and gives a superior feel to the whole thing.
There is a thin see through layer of plastic which goes across the cut out bit, which makes a very useful screen protector. This helps to keep the front of the iPod clean, still allows easy use and the screen scratch free.
There are also cut outs at the bottom corners of the holder so that you can still plug in your connectors or head phones.

Whilst it may seem that the price you pay is high for such a small item, I feel that its quality is great and as it has lasted in use so very well, it has been well worth the initial out lay.
This is a real 5 star iPod 3G case. Read the complete review |
