I got this iPod Nano Armband as a freebie when I joined the local gym, you had a choice of free gifts but they were all kind of crap so I went for this even though I didn't think I'd use it all that much. The gym ended up being a slum so I cancelled my membership but kept the armband because it has ended up being more useful than I thought.
It's dead easy to use, you just slip your iPod Nano into the holder and fix the armband round either your arm or wrist. When you're looking at the armband WITHOUT the iPod in it doesn't look like it's going to be able to keep hold of the gadget but it does and even when you're moving your arms about while using the armband it never feels like it's going to fall out or anything like that.
When my iPod is in the armband it's still easy to use the controls and there's also a gap in the holder so that you can still plug your earphones in... well, it would be a waste of time if you couldn't! lol
The armband itself is made of a very flexible plasticy material, it wraps nice round my arm and because the fasteners are adjustable and very easy to control it means I can wear it high up on my arm or lower down on my wrist. The only problem for me is that if I AM wearing it to the gym (and that doesn't happen all that often because I don't bother with the gym much!!!!) I find the area of skin under the armband gets very warm and sweaty. It's ventilated with lots of little holes but I can definately feel a difference between that band of skin and the rest of my arm, it also doesn't feel very comfortable if my skin gets too hot and sticky.
When I first got it my sister was still using a pushchair and I would use this if I was wheeling her to the shops or playgroup, it kept my hands free for pushing the pushchair and meant that in the summer I hadn't got to stress about wearing something with pockets in it to keep my iPod in.
I think these armbands are a brill idea, for people who go to the gym more than I do though! It's also ideal for joggers.... I think joggers are MENTAL anyway especially them who do it in the rain, but I've seen the weirdos round here wearing these armbands and it looks comfortable and a lot better idea than having your ipod in your pocket while you're bouncing around.
I'd recommend the armband if you could get it cheap enough. While looking round I've seen them for £10.00 and that's a bargain price, but in other places they go up to nearly £20.00 and I really don't think it's worth that. They come in a few different colours, mine is the classic white but I saw a woman wearing one in purple the other day and that was mega cool.
Recommended..... if the price is right!!!
I have an ipod nano. I got it for my birthday. I also got this armband!! My armband is red and I use it all the time. You can use it if you are walking, running, excersise machines and many more. It is so easy to use and every where you go you can take it with you. It is a very useful. It is easy to put on and is so light you would never know it was there. It is also a good present to give to pepole who have an ipod. It is only £12 so it is very cheap and great value for money. The ipod accessories are very excpensive so the armband for £12 is sooo good and if i didn't have it I would definetly buy it. My sister has one to and also uses all the time. She also uses it when she doesn't have any pockets so she put on the armband and listens for ages. I think anybody can have one young and old. I think you should buy it!!
Exercise your right to a great soundtrack with the ultimate workout duo: 100 percent skip-free iPod nano and the flexible, lightweight armband.
Simply wrap the band around your arm or wrist and secure it with the adjustable fasteners. Then insert iPod nano - it slides right into its pocket and stays there. Now plug your headphones into the jack and press play. iPod nano's skip-free playback means you can run, ride, lift and more without missing a second of your favorite tunes.
