I bought this after I got tired of my old silicone case and wanted somthing more smart looking. I saw this in an airport shop for £20.00 and bought it right away. I seem to have been grossly overcharged, but no matter.
I own the black version, which is exactly like the one pictured, but black to go with my nano. The case is made of black leather that becomes shiny as you use it. It is stitched up smartly all around the edge of the leather with grey cotton. There are holes for the screen, clickwheel, hold button and head phones, as well as the spaces at the top and bottom that you can see in the picture.
~~Ease of Use~~
There's nothing tricky about it whatsoever. The iPod goes in the bottom and is held in by a small but elegant strap of grey cotton that has a popper on. you can see it in the picture, but for some reason it is attached to a large climbling clip. Once the iPod is in, it is very easy to operate it through the hole for the clickwheel. It stays in place very well and does not slide out, unlike a previous case I had. The screen is clearly visible and is protected by a stick-on plastic screen protector which comes with the case. When you want to charge your iPod or connect it to the computer, you will need to take it out of its case, or at least undo the cotton strap, but most of the time mine just stays put.
I have dropped my iPod at least twice in this case, once on a hard surface. I can safely say that there is not a scratch on it from these. The leather is tough, and even if something fell on the iPod, so long as it hit the leather it ought to be OK. Unfortunately this case does not provide anything to cover the screen or clickwheel from heavy impact, unlike some other cases with a flap. However, hopefully most of us will be able to avoid the kind of situations where heavy things are dropped on the sensetive parts of our iPods.
