      -

I have loads of different cases for my iPhone. It is a real expensive piece of equipment and one I certainly do not want to drop as I would never be able to afford to replace it! My Mum purchased this Belkin Leather Pull Tab holster for hers and recommended that I get one too so I decided to have a little look around and see what I could find.

This is a really expensive case if you purchase it from Amazon - it is £14.99 on there but I find it on eBay for £2.99 and free postage which was significantly cheaper so I suggest that if you do go for this case the you should definately hit eBay for it first.

The case is only available in black which I think will probably be okay with most people.

The first thing you will probably note about this is that it states it is for the iPod Touch but this also fits the iPhone perfectly. The case is made out of black matt leather and really smells gorgeous. You can smell the genuine leather which I absolutely love. The leather is structured so will not lose its shae.

The case has a slight criss cross pattern on it, like it has been slashed with a knife but this is the design. It also has Belkin written on the bottom. It would appear that the Belkin style is to use white stitching on black leather as they have done this with this case as they did with the Nano case I recently reviewed.

The case is of a good quality. It is stitched very well and it doesn't look like it will become unstitched easily though should this ever happen, Belkin offer a lifetime warranty with this product which I think is not only great customer service but also shows how confident Belkin are in their product.

To use the case, you simply slide you iPhone or iPod Touch in the top and then you pull the little velcro tab over the top to hold it in place. Done. It is really effective and my iPhone has always remained safe and snug in this case. It has never fallen out. I have always felt my iPhone is secure in this case.

I have dropped my iPhone whilst in this case and although I prefer not to drop it, this case has protected it and there has never been a mark on the iPhone. The case itself is not bulky and is nice and slim. it is easy to just slide it in your pocket.

The only downside to this case is that the very top of the iPhone or iPod Touch is not protected as it sticks out though this is only a small complaint.

      Highly recommended.

Think about your daily usage pattern before paying for an expensive cover

Having been given an IPOD phone as my new company phone, I was instructed to seek a suitable protective cover. This market is incredibly confusing and diverse.
The Belkin Leather Holster is certainly robust, holds the IPOD very securely and does a great job of protection. However, I found the constant useage of the phone has meant that I am constantly pulling the tab to remove the cover from the phone, which after a standard working day can get a little tedious. My other critique would be that the pull tab mechanism, to release the phone, does frequently knock the IPOD silence button on the side. Therefore in meetings the phone would ring rather than be on silent - embarassing!

I think therefore, ow you use your IPOD on a daily basis should influence your decision on the type of cover required.

A great, solid, sturdy cover with the drawback of not being able to see the IPOD screen.

A great case, although quite expensive, will protect wour ipod well

      Belkin iPod Touch Holster

When i bought my new iPod touch i knew that it was very important for me to find a case to protect it with. However wherever i looked they were either silicon (which in my past experience got very messy as dirt and dust would gather on the case) or a folio style (which in practice i knew i would be annoyed with due to the extra thickness it would add to my iPod). I really wanted a case that acted like an iPod sock which i could take in and out when i needed to use it. I must say that i am thoroughly impressed with this product as it fits all of this criteria.

Initially i was very impressed with the quality of the product. The case material feels strong and sturdy and i am happy with its protection for my iPod touch.

The design of this product is unlike most others. It features a criss cross design on both sides, a factor which i was not too keen on early on when buying this product but after a while i have grown accustomed and quite like it. This product is also only available in black, this is fine for most people but those who want a colorful case should look elsewhere.
Its design ties in nicely with the iPod touch and is quite fashionable in its own right.

This case also is very practical. The tab at the top of the case is great to help protect the iPod from falling out of the case, which, however is quite unlikely due to its snug fit but was an added bonus when looking at this product.

The best thing about this case, although in someways a novelty is its pull tab system. To take the iPod out of the case the tab can be lifted which then brings the iPod about an inch out the case making it easier to take it out.

The only downside i think with this product (apart from its price) is that I wish it had an extra few millimeters to protect my iPod from the top of the case. However I think that it is very unlikely for it to be damaged because of this alone.

Overall I think that this is a great addition and a must when buying an iPod Touch to protect it with. Its fashionable design and few quirky features make it more practical than any other case on the market.
