I'm a bit of a girly girl so of course my favourite colour is pink shockingly enough. Whenever I buy a new phone the first thing I do is check out what pink cases are available for it.
The same happened when I got my ipod touch for the first time I went straight onto the internet to find the perfect pink case for it. I was unsure what kind of protection to go for as there is such an array out there but the first one I bought was the belkin leather sleeve.
The colour of my sleeve is different to the one in the picture as it is a much lighter almost baby pink colour that is really pretty and not as in your face as a hot pink would be (although I do now own a hot pink diamonte one)
It is made of soft leather and looks much more expensive than it actually is. The leather covers the back and sides protecting it from scratches and there is some white stitching going all the way round the edges. When you slip your ipod into the case it fits nice and snug and there is a Velcro fastening that attaches to the back to keep it in place.
Over all it is a really lovely looking sleeve and I like the fact that it is not a slip cover so I have easy access to the screen at all times.
I deliberately chose this case because it didn't cover the screen but of course this comes with problems such as scratches etc however the sleeve does come with a thin screen protector included which goes on easily and offers protection from scratches but won't do anything to protect it if you drop it. The screen protector is thin enough that there are no problems with the responsiveness of the touch screen.
I didn't realise when I bought this sleeve that it is for 2nd gen touches that do not have the external volume controls so there is no cut out to access them but this isn't a problem as I mainly use the volume controls on the touch screen. There are cut outs for the home buttons on the front and also the bottom to plug in the data connector which fits perfectly.
When the sleeve is on it does add some bulk but as well as being extremely tough the leather is nice and thin so it doesn't add as much as you might imagine a leather case would and I still find it goes in my pocket with no problems.
I paid £9.99 for this sleeve which is not a bad price at all as it is really nice looking and great quality. I would definitely recommend this sleeve to anyone looking for a nice leather protector for their ipod touch as it is great quality that not only looks good but will protect your touch from scratches and keep it looking new a bit longer.
