When you buy expensive electronics, it bodes well to keep them in a protective case in order to prolong their life span and keep them looking shiny and new. Not only does it feel better to carry around a shiny new looking device it also great increases the resale value. As someone who upgrades, swaps and changes their electronics regularly as I always want something new; this is an important factor to me. I always buy a case for my devices. This is the case I bought for my ipod mini which is still around actually despite being old now.
==Price and availability==
You can buy the Case Logic cases from various places but the best prices are Aamzon or Eba. The only thing with eBay is that it is full of fakes. I bought this from Aamzon and paid a little bit more but the quality is there and the item is made from real leather.
The cases come in a variety of colours, I bought a bright red one because I wanted to be able to find my ipod and make it distinctive around the home. This case has high quality stitching and the leather is ultra soft and very giving. The case has a cut out section for the wheel and screen and you can plug the headphones in too. All around the gaps is solid stitching which protects the leather. The case is only slightly wider than the ipod so once you slide it in, you should not notice that the device grows massively in size. The case fits snug but it is easy to insert the ipod once you are familiar with holding it correctly.
I have dropped my ipod loads and it has take some incredible jumps from my bag to the floor. I have picked it back up gingerly so many times expecting it to be broken but thanks to the case, nothing has happened to it. The case fits well and it acts as a protective barrier which is good. I was hoping this was the case as the leather feels thick and soft. I think that the leather cases look much better than the silicone skin ones and I personally think that they offer the best protection.
I bought a case logic case for my iphone following the success of this one with the ipod. The colour is so bright and garish but it looks very fashionable and as it comes in so many colours you get the chance to really personalise your item. Sometimes ipods and iphones can all look a bit corporate, a fun cases jazzes them up and allows you to show off your personality. This case is very hard wearing and it is doing a sterling job of looking after the ipod. I would recommend it and I will be buying products from this brand in the future.
I got this case for my old iPod mini which i still use regulary last year to keep it safer and have been quite pleased with it.
I bought the case from Amazon Uk and paid £10 including free shipping. It arrived within a few days. I feel for a very small, real leather case the £10 price tag was reasonable.
The leather is soft but tough and sturdy, it keeps my ipod secure and protected from been scratched etc. It doesn't bulk the ipod up or add extra weight and it's pretty discreet. Using the ipod is as simple with the sleeve on as it is without. It both looks and feels good quality and in my opinion it's obvious that it's real leather. Putting the sleeve on was easy and fitted my ipod snuggly without any effort in sliding it on.
The case/sleeve is available in various colours, red, grey, green black, blue etc.
Mine is the black which i feel has a more classy/sleek look to it and is much more discreet.
In my opinion the sleeve acts as a cushion. I've dropped my ipod numerous times in the past, and all of those times it's surived with no marks or faults.
Overall, if you're looking for a protective case for your ipod mini, this is probably your best option.
Stylish, protective and a reasonable price.
Every electronic gadget I have that I can fit in my pocket or is handheld, like an iPod or a phone or whatever, always seem to get scratched. The screens just seem to scratch themselves at some point and I can never do anything about it. Which is why I like to buy sleeves for things.
The ICM 2 leather case is a good quality case, but only fits the iPod mini. I was a bit disappointed when I bought it and didn't realise this. I ended up giving it to my friend who still had an iPod mini and she loved it. It's a strong, leather case, and comes in a variety of colours including the weird green one in the image, and the black one which I got which has nice white stitching along the sides almost giving it a "cowboy"-ish look.
The interior is soft and won't damage your iPod at all, and is cut so you can use your iPod as easily as if there wasn't one at all. A year on, and she still has it on her mp3 player, so it looks like it hasn't damaged at all since I first got it. The stitching on it is great and the quality of the leather is pretty strong. It doesn't give the iPod a bulky, heavy almost annoying feel like some others do, either which is a bonus.
If you're looking for a protective sleeve to put your iPod in, Case Logic make some good ones, although make sure you're certain it's the right case. It's solid, looks good and was a pretty decent price all things considered. Well worth a buy.
