I have mixed reviews over this I phone case.
The colour when first bought was fantastic. It was very bright even vibrant and definitely resembled the jelly bean effect as promised. Unfortunately this colour did not last. It seems this colour is only temporary. Once I had had the phone case for a month the discoloration happened probably due to the slightly transparent jelly bean unique selling point of the product. Slowly but surely the colour continued to fade further and become a sort of dirty colour more than anything else which lead to its replacing.
The price as well is a little on the expensive side. With all the iphone cases now on offer a better deal for a similar case can be found. For me I would go for a different case.
A positive I must say about this case though is its sturdiness. After recently dropping my phone the phone was undamaged and the case.
Cygnet Jellybean iPhone case.......
I swore I wouldn't get another contract phone ever again but seeing as it appeared to be my only chance of being able to get my hands on one of these new iPhones I had to give in and recently signed up for a new contract with Orange. Seeing as I decided against taking on any insurance to go along with this rather expensive phone, I thought that the next best thing to this would be a half decent cover for it.
There were not really that many different covers to choose from when I was browsing in the Orange store but there seemed to be a choice between either a silicone rubber type of case or this harder type of plastic case. The sales chap who was giving me all the information about my new phone suggested getting the silicone phone cover as this was easy to take on and off and he himself had it for his iPhone. I howevere didn't really like the black or the white coloures that were avalible and was drawn to this vibrant pink colour hard case.
The price was around £13 which was a little more than the silicone cover but in my view well worth it for the noticeable effect the cover has to the iPhone. The sales assistant said that he found these covers really difficult to take off and he had once broken one whilst trying to remove it. I can't say how hard it is to remove from the phone as I have not attempted to do this yet and don't really have any plans to any time soon!
It was however easy to click on and stays in place really well. The hard cover also came with a screen protector too. This is a clear piece of plastic which needs to be aopplied to the screen and once applied (correctly) you would hardly know it was there. This said, I found this extremely difficult to do as tiny little air bubbles would keep getting stuck under the screen protector and it took a good hour or so to get the thing on with only one teeny tiny air bubble in a place which is hardly noticeable. This was a real wind up but the chap in the Orange shop had warned me these there a right pain and confessed to not even bothering trying to put one on his phone!
The hard cover itself not only looks great when clipped on to the phone, but it is also really practicle too. There are correct holes so that all the buttons and ports are easily assessed and so far I have had no problems with it. It still looks as good as the day I bought it and touch wood I haven't dropped the iPhone or the case on the floor yet but I should think that this cover would do a really good job at protecting the phone. It appears to be hardwearing, good looking and not a bad price. I'm glad I chose this brightly coloured hard cover instead of a black silicone one!
I think a score of 4 out of 5 stars is in order for this product. The only minue mark would be for the fact that the sales assistant said it will be really hard to remove but other than that I can't complain!
Great little item for a great phone!
Many thanks for taking the time to read.
I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you.
