The 'Basic' Hama CD-Rom Case holds 40 discs and is useful for storing all disc'd media including CD's, CD-Rom, BluRay, every type of disc it can hold. In line with the 'basic' name it is very plain and basic looking indeed. The black nylon case is quite ordinary and although Hama have a reputation for producing the highest quality products at competitve prices, this case doesn't live up to those expectations.
Holding 40 discs you could be forgiven for thinking the case costs between £10-£20, luckily for me I bought it within this price range, but it is currently on sale for nearly £30, so any discount there could sway your decision of a purchase because this is quite expensive for what we are getting. As I say, the case is very plain and ordinary. One think I do like about this particular case, however, is the compartments for holding the discs. They are double-sided and this means that unlike most cases I have come across this one allows you to store discs back-to-back without them rubbing against each other. The black dividers also mean that the discs are much easier to see and the inside of the case looks all the more attractive for it. The case also comes with a handy carrying strap which allows you to loop it onto your arm to carry safely.
Due to the plain appearance of the case it can be carried discreetly and wear will not show as easily due to the jet black appearance. Overall, a little expensive, but high quality once you look past the cheap looking outer case.
