I have bought one of these cases for my iPhone, as well as one of the fabric socks.
The case is made of a soft silicone, it's the same feel as the BlackBerry case that I also have. The case comes in a variety of different colours. I purchased the hot pink colour and it's very bright and vibrant. You certainly can't miss it. The case gives your phone a new look and feel and you can buy a few of the cases and alternate them as you wish. Luckily the colour stays bright and vibrant, it doesn't fade or run.
The case is easy to fit. It simply snaps onto your phone and instantly protects it. The case protects your phone from bumps and scratches. You can use your phone as normal with the case on it. You don't have to remove the case to use your phone. You can still use the camera as well, this is because there's a small hole on the reverse of the case where the camera lens is exposed.
The case is sturdy and durable. It holds it's shape well and it doesn't stretch. I would recommend it. Plus the case is cheap enough, I paid under £3 for mine off an auction site. It's good quality and it's flexible so it won't irritate your phone or mark it.
You will also need an additional screen protector as the case doesn't come with one, however these are also cheap to buy.
I had originally purchased one of these covers after the recommendation of a friend who had one. After having an iphone for a year and being the clumsiest person I know, her phone was still in perfect condition. The cases are soft and easy to grasp, with a friction enhancing material that ensures they wont easily fall out of your pocket or slip out of your hand like hard cases. Even though the cover is made of soft material, it protects the phone even if you slam it on concrete! Although the screen area isn't protected, because the case is thick protrudes over the edge, it acts as a barrier between the screen and surface areas like the ground. Also, its very easy to remove and put back on, and I find it convenient to stick my ID and credit card inside before I go out! The only problem is that the case does attract some dirt, but not so much greater than any other case or phone.
I have absolutely billions of iPhone accessories, but this is likely the one i use most. I first bought my Phone silicone cover around 6 or so months ago as i was getting fed up of finger print marks and small scratches on the back of it and decided i wanted to protect it that bit more, as at the end of the day an iPhone isn't cheap to replace! As a regular user of Amazon, i knew that it would be the ideal place to find a cheap iPhone case, as in the highstreet shops you're looking at paying £5-£20 for the same thing. I found what i was looking for within minutes and all in all, including postage it cost me just £2.99 which i was chuffed with.
There was lots of colour options to choose from; white, pink, green, grey, black, yellow, blue, purple, etc. I chose the black as it's simple, versatile and classy. The design of the cover is simple, you simply slip the iPhone up into the little slot in the bottom and it covers the back and sides of the iPhone. The button that switches it on, the button on the bottom and the signal strip are all uncovered with the silicone fitting around them nicely and not interfering. It's quite a thick but stretchy material and seems strong. Although it's thick it doesn't add any noticeable weight to the iPhone nor bulk; i can still fit the iPhone in my jean pocket with ease.
It has a soft rubbery-plastic feel to it which isn't unpleasent and actually feels nicer than holding the iPhone without the cover. This material grips hard surfaces well and it doesn't slide around while i'm sat on the train reading a newspaper/eating with it next to me which is good as without the cover it usually slides off. The iPhone cover also has an anti dust coating feature, which resists dirt and stains, however it does seem to attract animal hairs! I have a persian cat (white!), and dogs, so it's a bit of a nightmare getting the hair off as it really sticks to it! For non pet owners this won't be an issue. On a more positive note it does seem to be protective, and i think the reason is the fact that it's quite bouncy! I've dropped my iPhone numerous times with the cover on (by accident!), and it surrived with no damage.
I have the second gen iPhone and the particular cover i purchased is also suitable for first gen iPhones.
Incase you haven't already guessed, the case doesn't protect the phones screen, which is why i have also purchased a touch screen shield. The silicone case doesn't overlap onto the screen though or disrupt the phone in the slightest. The only downside is, as i'm a bit of a poser and like showing off i've got an iPhone, the cover actually covers up the Apple logo on the back. Not a big deal i know, and protection is more important!
Overall for £2.99 it's a bargain - it's versatile, strong, comfortable to hold, but i won't be buying the black again due to the pet hair issue and instead will be ordering myself a baby pink one in the near future.
I bought myself a shiney new iphone a couple of years ago and really treasured it. At first I didn't want a cover as I wanted to be able to show it off all the time. After about six months my poor phone was so scratched. Not the glass-just the back. It also had a nasty fall, where it fell out of my bag onto a concrete floor and the glass got smashed. The glass was replaced by my insurance company, but that still didn't fix the scratched back. I decided I needed to take an extra measure to protect my phone going forward.
I did some internet searching and saw that there were two main types of cover. The silicon, softer cover and the harder plastic cover. A lot of my friends had the hard cover and I wanted something a little different, so I went for the silicon cover. I managed to pick on eup in bright yellow on ebay for 99p plus postage. It seemed like a bargain and I really hoped it was.
I wasn't disappointed when it came. The colour was the same as in the picture and it felt of substantial quality. The cover was quite soft to the touch and very flexible and bendy. It stretched over the whole of the back of the phone and then over a small part of the front. It didn't cover the glass front screen and had two small wholes on the back, one for the apple logo and one for the camera hole. The cover had a nice snug fit, yet was easy to get on and off. I had a feeling I wouldn't be able to say quite the same for the hard rubber cover.
The cover did not wear over time. I certainly put it through it's paces, and after three months it did not have a single mark on it. The same couldn't be said for my phone in the first three months of owning it without a cover. I had a direct comparison and it just proved how fantastic the cover was and what a great job it did.
There was one downside to the this cover. You cannot put the phone with it on into a tight pocket. As the cover is not hard fixed it ends up slipping off and the phone and the cover get stuck.
I really love this cover. It does a fantastic job, and is super value for money. I bought a new ones when I wanted a new colour, but I kept this one and still get it out when I fancy going back to the colour.
I bought my iPhone Silicon Cover about four months ago. I'd been using the iPhone without any protection and I was conscious that I didn't want to damage my phone it so I ordered two silicon covers from Amazon.
I decided to invest in both the hot pink and the blue silicon cases because they were really cheap (around £1.50 each). When the cases arrived I found it really easy to attach them to my phone. The iPhone neatly and easily slotted into both cases. The volume control and the one/off button is covered by plastic, but I found that by pressing down hard I was still able to use these functions with the cover on. There is also a clear gap at the bottom of the phone cover so you can attach your charger without any hassle.
One think I've noticed is that since I've been using the case dirt has seemed to appear on the back of the phone and I so think that in general it gets a bit more grubby than usual, but this because I am not constantly dusting my iPhone down when the cover is attached.
The other slight issue I have with the case is that the back of my white iPhone cannot be seen through the plastic. I know this is a shallow thing to say, but when I ordered my iPhone I wanted a white one because everybody seems to have the black iPhone where I live, plus I'd seen various celebs using the white iPhone so that's what I wanted. However, with this cover attached I might as well be using a black iPhone because you can't tell that the back of the phone is white.
Overall I'd say that these cases will protect your iPhone. I am heavy handed yet (touch wood) I have not had to replace my iPhone since I got it (around six months ago). In comparison, my friend is currently on her third iPhone after the other two broke (she is approximately half way through an 18 month contract) and she has never used a case to protect her phone. But the case doesn't come with a screen protector, so make sure you purchase a packet of these separately.
I'd say that it's worth investing in one or two of these cases, because they do give your iPhone added protection and they are cheap to buy. Four out of five stars.
In the same way that I have relied on this sort of technology for my Ipod, the same was required for the phone. Nobody wants to spend a lot of money on a device only to have it covered in grime and scratches within a few weeks. Unfortunately, I left the decision to protect my Ipod too late and it got tatty, which was what prompted me to invest in a cover.
The Iphone protective cover is very much the same, in that it is a silicon slip case that slides over the phone and keeps it snug. You can buy them in a range of colours, so in theory you could get several and vary them for different days of the week. Or if you are one of those people who has a few phones, like myself, you could colour code them so that you remember which ones are for personal use, which are for work and which ones just don't work anymore!
The cases are really robust. You can attempt to rip them and will struggle. The rubbery/plastic feel of the casing will challenge anyone to break it. To date, mine has stayed in tip top condition. It prevents dirt getting into the framwork of the device and more importantly helps protect it from bumps and bruises. Ther amount of times I have dropped mine on the floor. This casing gives you reassurance that the odd drop will allow a gentle bounce and keep your technology safe.
The casing still gives you easy access to all buttons and it is easy enough to pull on and off the device, once you have mastered the art of which way to unfold it! Prices will vary from about a pound at online auction to ten pounds from high street stores. They will all do a similar job, but the official ones are likely to be made from a sturdier resin with more longevity. Recommended to keep your technology protected, clean and also looking rather flashy.
I recently bought my iPhone silicon cover in the pound shop of all places, I could not believe the bargain price I paid of £1 at the time as I have seen the same cover in various stores at retailing at £10 or more!
I am very much of the opinion that most times you get what you pay for and to be honest I did not have that many high hopes for something that only cost £1.
I am pleased to report that this phone cover is one of the best covers I have ever had. The cover that I bought was white, which in my opinion looks very retro and suits the iPhone perfectly! The cover itself is silicon, having tried different covers I found that the silicon one was the best as the material itself is very flexible and soft.
The case design is very impressive and it did not hinder me from using the touch screen functions on my phone. The cover was very easy to slip onto the iPhone and this is extremely handy as sometimes you need to take the cover on and of for changing the sim card. I found no hassle or problems with doing this and as far as phone covers go, found the cover extremely easy to use.
I do not feel that the cover distorted any communications that I made on the phone and I was perfectly able to hear callers speaking to me and they could hear me speaking clearly to them. In my opinion this element is very important when choosing a phone cover as there is no point in having a cover on a phone that takes away from any of the functions that the phone already performs, and this cover certainly did not take away from any sound or speech.
Another important element for me when choosing a phone cover is the protection that it affords the phone. My iphone itself cost me nearly £400 so I did feel a bit guilty buying a £1 cover for it, but when I initially got the phone I purchased a hard cover that cost me £40 only for someone to call me and the phone vibrated off the table and the cover smashed!
You would think that this incident would have taught me a lesson, but since then my iPhone has bounced off the table, fell out of my pocket and been knocked out of my hand, in my opinion along with the durability of the iPhone itself, the silicon cover was the only thing that saved the phone from getting scratched.
The only drawback that I can possibly find with the iPhone silicon cover is that, as the iPhone is a touch screen phone, the screen is not covered by anything, and the cover itself is an open cover.
However, if the iPhone is on a flat surface there is a lip of a couple of millimeters, around the screen offering it a slight bit of protection. If you are buying this cover, I would suggest that when you are putting your phone into your bag or pocket to be careful that you do not have change or keys or anything near the phone that will scrape the screen of it as it will not be protected fully by this cover.
The silicon cover protects the back of the iPhone fully and just slips on like a soft glove. I have taken the cover off my phone on numerous occasions and to be honest I was worried about the cover stretching out of shape as it is a tight fit already. I cannot see any difference in the cover since the day I bought it and it does not appear to have stretched at all.
I would certainly recommend this phone cover to anyone who has recently purchased an iPhone and totally give it 5/5, if you can get it for a quid in the pound shop its even a bigger bonus!
However, as I already said the only concern that I had about the product was that I just had to be careful that I did not accidentally scrape the screen with anything.
