My boyfriend bought me an ipod Touch for Christmas 2010.
I bought a twin pack of these mirrored screen protectors from Amazon.co.uk for a cheap price.
The screen protectors are a little difficult to apply. Instructions are included but my first attempt went horribly wrong. Firstly the screen protector ripped at the edges and when I had eventually managed to put it onto my screen it had more bubbles than an Aero chocolate bar! I took the screen protector off and threw it away as it had already torn. My second attempt was a little better. I followed a video on YouTube that suggested using a credit card to smooth the screen protector onto the screen. This method was much easier but it still took a few attempts to get it bubble free.
However once the screen protector is on it does it's job perfectly well. It protects the screen from fingerprints, dust and general wear and tear. Plus the added mirror effect is a nice touch.
Sometimes the screen protector can cause a glare effect but this is usually when the sun is shining and you can't see the screen anyway. Apparently these screen protectors can be washed and re used but I haven't took mine off yet so I can't comment on this.
They do the job though and the mirror effect is cool - It works!
This mirrored screen protector for your iPod Touch is excellent in doing its job of preotecting your screen, as well as being a great little mirror for when you need it.
The screen protector is rather resilient itself, and mine has stayed scratch free for a long time. This means you will not have to keep replacing it. It also never comes off, or falls off your iPod so you do not have to worry about it.
The screen protector does not affect the touch screen of the iPod, meaning you can use your iPod normally.
One slight problem with it is the glare you sometimes get from the mirrored screen when exposed to bright light. The light often reflects back, which means you can always see the screen.
Overall this is a great feature to have with your iPod touch, and at the same time as protecting your screen, it also doubles up as a great mirror!
If you are an ipod touch owner you will know that it can be very easy to scratch the screen on them if you do not have a protective case for them. Ipods have a touch screen which you need to have scratch free in order to be able to use it properly. If you have a scratch on it it can lead to it breaking down and not working properly. So the answer to this is buy a Screen Protector you pay enough for your ipod an extra £1.50 for a case should be considered a bargain.
I purchased my case from ebay and got one free. When mine arrived it came with a sticker on the back I peeled it away and as I did this I pressed it down onto the screen of the ipod touch the screen protector smoothed on easily and left no bumps on the screen. There is just a gap for the circle selection button at the bottom of the ipod. Once on it looks like a mirror when the back light is out - handy your ipod can now act as a music player and a compact! As for the screen protection - I actually dropped mine on the car park at work and it was luckily found and handed in - the screen protector was scuffed up a little bit from being kicked across the car park but once I peeled it off my ipod was good as new. As soon as I got home I put on my spare screen protector and ahve not looked back.
If you have a ipod I really recommend you get one of these they are really worth the couple pf quid they cost.
