      I highly recommend! Great product...

      ===JBL speaker:====

      ==Appearance==

      Apearance: this product looks absolutely brilliant, wherever it is situated. The black design compared to the previous white means that is easier to keep clean and it carries of a more modern façade which is essential when redecorating or attempting to sell your house (as I am). Also the simple colour scheme and design means it suits any location - without clashing with any colours of walls or decorative items.

      Additionally the 360 degree speaker that is wrapped round the centre of the speaker system makes it appear sleek and improves the sound quality drastically (something I will elaborate on later).

      ==Functionality==

      The speaker is extremely easy to use and the utilisation is improved with touch sensitive buttons for both turning the volume up and down. It also comes with a wireless remote that allow you to change song, play and pause and alter volume levels from anywhere in your room (however its range is not fantastic reaching a span of just over 2 metres - in my case anyway).

      As one would expect the functionality is limited due to the fact with this model in particular there are no additional aspects for example a radio or alarm clock, it literally is a speaker - but it performs that task brillaintly. I would argue that surely isn't it more important to have a better speaker system than have four hundred other additional extras that are all average?? But then again I am sure it is up to personal choice.

      There is one problem however with the functionality - it is made in mind for older gerneration Ipods and similar MP3 players this means that for many of the newer Ipods, including the Iphone and the Ipod Nano are not charged by the speaker system - which was a bit disappointing, but none the less it still does the job.

      ==sound quality==

      The most important factor the sound quality: The sound quality is excellent for a speaker of this price, I was especially impressed when listening to the speaker system from a distance at very high levels of volume - it easily surpassed my expectations.

      Though I am no technical genius I believe the sound quality must be improved by the wrap around 360 degree speaker design, In my opinion it improves the range of the sound and means that you can position it anywhere and not worry about whether this will affect the sound quality...

      However for those who prefer rock music and possibly some R and B the bass quality could be improved and this is possibly what you would achieve from a speaker system from Beats audio or Bose (however these models are both over the £250 mark). Though do not be put off as it will still handle 'heavy', demanding tracks I would just say when comparing to the Beats audio speaker system the difference is sadly noticeable (and I am not talking about the huge cost difference either)

      ==Conclusion==

      In conclusion the speaker system is well priced for what it provides - solid and reliable sound quality at a range of volumes. One negative however is the fact that it is affected largely by frequency interception from Iphones and similar products, though reading similar reviews about other products I believe this to be unavoidable.

      The other negative would be the fact that in todays every evolving market there are far greater technologically advanced products out there that offer the same and more for example Ipod docks that have alarms and even radios. Though saying this I would still highly recommend this product especially thinking you can find them on the internet for a lot less than the RRP due to competition (when they used to be prices at £99).

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      A good speaker, which looks good and is definitely worth the money

      I received these speakers in black for Christmas and have found them an excellent product. They have been designed for use with Apple ipods and come with several different adaptors for the different types of iPod...I use them with my red ipod nano, they can also be used with any other MP3 players.

      They are a modern 'doughnut ring' shape and look very good on the shelf in my bedroom. They are also quite compact so do not take up as much space as the usual speakers.

      They provide crisp, clear sound which is the same as the sound emitted through my iPod earphones and the volume can be adjusted easily... they go much louder than you would expect from their small size. They can also be plugged into a computer to provide excellent sound whilst watching DVDs.

      The speakers come with a radio controlled remote, which can be used over pretty long distances....we managed to get it change the song from downstairs at the other side of the house.

      One of the problems with this speaker is that if you leave the plug switched on when the music is not playing the adaptor gets quite hot and makes a buzzing sound. I also think they would be better if the remote had the ability to switch between albums on the ipod rather than just switching between songs within that particular album.

      Overall i think these are a great buy and very useful for people who have limited space... such as those living in university accomodation.
