I don't own this docking station, but I have used it extensively at work.
First of all I wasn't a fan of iPods. To me they seemed to be overpriced MP3 players that looked nice.
However, when I had my third nannying job, my employers had their iPod permanently housed in this docking station. At first I was a bit overwhelmed when my employer explained that the kids loved to eat their dinner listening to music from the iPod (I have never owned an iPod or a docking station) but it was a fairly easy piece of equipment to use.
The sound from the docking station was incredible - clear, crisp and very audible. The range on the remote control was brilliant as well, I could be standing a fair bit away from the docking station and still be able to control volume, track and skip between albums fairly easily.
Another good feature of the docking station was that you could recharge the iPod on the station - so if the family went away on holidays or car journeys it had spent a lot of time being charged and was good to go.
However, it did have it's disadvantages. The wires in the plug of the docking station came loose and needed to be repaired, even though it hadn't been owned for very long (I'd say between four and six months of owning it).
All in all it's a fairly good product and has more advantages than disadvantages.
