... is a lovely little camera. its lightweight so easy to carry and hold up while recording for long periods of time. the LCD screen can rotate so the camera can be held high up and the screen tilted down so it can still be seen. the night mode feature is fantastic as it lets you capture what is going on even in dark conditions. it as a anti shake feature so if you haven t got a steady arm it wont stop you recording... Sony Handycam DCR-HC51E ... was in the market for a replacement video camera after some pikey smashed a window in my car to get my old one. I needed one with IR night vision like my old Panasonic had, as we had recently seen a ghost in an old cottage whilst using night vision! (yes i did have on tape but it was in the stolen camera) Now I would have had a Panasonic again because Which have always rated them higher than other makes of video camera they review..mainly for image quality but Panasonic no longer do a camera with proper full IR night vision..so I decided to go Sony. Canon FS100 ... So this is a well designed, good looking, easy to use camcorder and it s well priced. However the price reflects the fact we will be getting standard definition not high def. footage. Online prices I ve seen are between £200 and £250. You also get a good optical zoom of x37 which is great for distance shots, the digital zoom of x2000 is something you probably won t use. I think this is a perfect camera for anyone wanting to point and shoot and be able to quickly transfer and share their films. Sony Handycam DCR-HC37E ... bought Sony ahndycam DCR-HC37e for Christmas and it was £142 at Cameras2U.com. We bought bag as well as it was a good bundled deal and it is really necessary. It is very easy to use. Commands are displayed on LCD and I found menu intuitive to follow. The only drawback is that screen can get dirty from fingerprints quickly. Battery life is decent for our simple needs (children playing, birthdays, holidays with children). My wife is using it without any problem although not very technically savvy. USB cable can be used only to transfer still frames/pictures from the tape to PC. You need firewire card and cable to transfer video to PC. Software which comes with camera is ...
