Panasonic SDR-H250 ... first I thought that this camcorder was going to be the next big thing with the hard disk built in with 30gb of memory. But it s not all it s cracked up to be. The display screen on the side of the camcorder is actually quite small compared to other models you can get. The zoom on it is not too bad really but if you need to video something far away then you will find that the image pixelates a little and you don t get a sharp image, which is what you really want from a camcorder. The battery life on this is quite disappointing as it only last for a couple of hours when you really need battery life to last about 5 hours. I have made this camcorder seem really disappoint... Sony Handycam DCR SR75 ... purchased one of these beauties for use at work, since then itr has found it s way home and gets used for all sorts. I was unsure of whether to go for a hard drive camcorder or stick to tapes but I found this available for a shade under £260 and decided to go for it. I think it was a great choice, this camera is so user friendly. The manual that comes with it is comprehensive and has always answered any little issues I have found. Battery life is about 90 mins of recording time which I think is pretty decent. The hard drive is huge, 60 Gb is going to last me a long time. i filmed an entire rugby match which consumed a mere 3Gb of space! The supplied software is good and... Sony Handycam DCR-SR72E ... is an absolutely brilliant camcorder. I bought it 2 years ago and use it all the time. I ve only just used up all the memory and I really do use it a lot. It s light weight and easy to hold without it feeling awkward. It s really easy to use - even if you re like me and hate instructions!! The touch screen is brilliant and means you can get to want to want quickly without scrolling through using buttons. You can change how you shoot the video depending on what TV size you have so it looks really good if you re playing it straight onto the TV.
