JVC GZ-MG130 ... the past, I have always had camcorders that record to tape. I fancied getting a hard drive based camcorder because of the longer record times and the easiness of transferring the videos my PC. Knowing nothing much about camcorders, I just bought this one as it was the cheapest one in the shop at the time. The camcorder is reasonably small. It isn t as tiny as some I have seen, but it is compact enough to carry around without much effort. It is also light enough to hold up in hand for quite a while when recording. JVC Everio GZ-MG575 ... I am no expert I have just bought the GZ-MG575 as my first video camera. I searched on the web for the lowest price and took the plunge. However the saying " you get what you pay for " rung true when the camera arrived with the instruction manual in every language execpt english. This has proved very difficult to get hold of so I am teaching myself how to use it. The camera has proved to be very easy to use and I have been delighted with the results I have achieved. The picture quality in movie mode and photo mode is outstanding and the camera is small and light enough to take anywhere. A useful feature I find is the built in lens cap, no more losing it... JVC GZ-MG77 ... bought one of these in June and are very pleased with it. We have been looking for a camcorder for a while and found this one ideal because you don t need tapes or dvd s as it records straight onto the hard drive, the capacity of which seems to be very good. We also liked the fact that is small and light and fits in my handbag, good if you are in the city. The touch screen is very easy to use, we were able to use the camcorder without reading the instruction book!! We used it at a Proclaimers concert at Edinburgh Castle and were able to zoom right into their faces, although the zoom facility does take a bit of getting right as it is so powerful.
