I must admit when I first got this camcorder I didn't know where anything was or how to use it properly and took me a few days to get up to scratch. This camcorder is able to record DVD-R discs and can also rewrite DVD's too meaning you can record over old videos you may have on old discs as long as the discs themselves are RW (re-writeable) too. The camera has a 41 times zoom which means you can zoom in on objects further. I have used this function to zoom in and use photo mode to take pictures without the need of a digital camera.
