I must admit when I first got this camcorder I didn't know where anything was or how to use it properly and took me a few days to get up to scratch. This camcorder is able to record DVD-R discs and can also rewrite DVD's too meaning you can record over old videos you may have on old discs as long as the discs themselves are RW (re-writeable) too. I often look at myself in the the mirror and think that today, I am going to do great things. Often this involves shooting a major Hollywood blockbuster complete with dazzling special effects. This is the first camera I have had the wherewithal to buy, whilst I had been searching a little higher in the Canon range I decided on a safety first item. This camera in all the reviews seemed like a nice cheap but effective utility to practice on before stepping up to the semi-professional market.
