Canon DM-MVX2i

Canon DM-MVX2i ... Mode technology so you can capture color images in the dark of night. The camcorder's Super Night LED also fills out shadows and brings extra clarity to nighttime images. It can also reduce red-eye when shooting still images with the auto-flash. With the push of a button, the MVX2i turns into a high-quality still digital camera providing sharp images on an SD card. Its built-in, automatic pop-up flash works simultaneously with the continuous-shooting function.

The MVX2i has a 10x optical zoom supplemented by a 200x digital zoom. Its Optical Image Stabilizer takes the jitter out of hand-held movie making and still images to provide smooth video images and clear still images. Thanks to its USB and IEEE 1394 (FireWire) interface, the camcorder can connect to just about any Windows or Macintosh computer and transfer movie images from the Mini DV tape to the PC. However, the user does not need a computer to print pictures. The camcorder connects directly to the Canon CP10, CP100, or Bubble Jet Direct printers. The MVX2i lets users decorate their movies with animated images provided with the SD memory card and then record them on a tape. The card offers twelve different animations.
