Advantages: good quality
Disadvantages: occasionally doesn't focus or expose optimally
This little beauty is worth £800 (well to be precise...£799.99). It's worth every penny... it was my christmas present this year from my mum and it records beautiful imagery, the sound quality is ace but i would recommend you invest in a microphone anyway. You can do digital special effects on it and you can do fade-ins and fade-outs... editing is easy if you buy yourself a firewall card and a program for your PC... I've heard that "final cut" is THE best program on the market at this moment in time. I recently bought myself a tripod, and have to say it works wonders, making all the work look highly professional compared to hand-held work. Finally, it is manual or automatic, so you can play around with exposures and depth of field... but how to do slow or fast motion is something i have yet to figure out. i highly recommend this to anyone looking to buy a digicam... but remember they are sensitive and must be looked after re: wet weather, humitdity, heat, sunlight in the lens etc... be good to it and it will in turn be good to you... guaranteed!

- 20/05/03 A Firewall is a piece of software that prevents most attacks from hackers to your computer while on the internet. I think the word your looking for is Firewire maybe? |
