The compact design of MV3iMC is contributed to by signal processing LSI and Canon's second-generation interior working (mechachassis) along with a slim lithium-ion battery and repositioning of switches. MV3i features an improved RGB progressive scan CCD for excellent color reproduction, and is ideal for users who want to use the camcorder as a digital stills camera. Using progressive scanning, MV3iMC camcorder reads and isolates information frame by frame. Sharp still images are then recorded at a speed of 25 full-frame images per second - ideal for fast moving subjects. If user wants to be sure to capture the best moments, the progressive scan mode makes it possible to record the moving image and then choose the desired still image(s) from the recorded tape. The MV3 series has a new 3-element stereo microphone system, which enhances the capacity to minimize the voice of the operator, therefore creating a more equal balance with the voice of the person being filmed. This new microphone system is located on top of the camcorder, thus contributing further to the compact size of these camcorders. The MV3 series also feature an audio dubbing function. With this feature it is possible to create or replace commentary or music to footage allowing for personalized films. |

The Canon MV650i is part of the MV600 range. It s the top model and is packed with loads of features. It s recording methood is Mini DV which produce fantastic quality film. The camera itself is very small and compact and very lightweight. It s silver in colour with light up buttons which you have a choice of colours to pick from to personalise it. The camera has a crystal clear 2.5" LCD screen to view or a moveable viewfinder. The Microphone is based at the front end of the camera and tapes are loaded via the bottom. One bad point about being bottom loading. The camera has numerous features. It boosts a 22x optical zoom plus 440 digital zoom. The 22x optical ...

semi-professional market. As a film student I use larger and far more expensive professional equipment, where the lens is worth considerably more than the entire cost of my little MV 600i. Playing around with cameras at the top end of the market has shown me what kind of image can be captured and its similarity to broadcast quality film. When buying this camera I had a few small demands; firstly it had to be mini DV not just a digital card, the quality of image and sound is far higher, secondly it had to be upgradeable, all cameras in this price range have a very low quality of zoom/width, they usually have poor microphones and little or no lighting. The MV 600i has ...
