Canon MV750i ... engineers have always abided by the rule that technology has no purpose unless it can be put to good use. That is why the MV750i camcorder works straight out of the box. You won't need a PhD in systems theory to get started - just turn it on and start shooting.

The compact size and slim, ergonomic palm design feels as easy in the hand as it is to use. Buttons controlling all important features fall right beneath your fingertips, and you will be delighted by the wide proportions of the color LCD. Menu navigation is intuitive, uncomplicated and available in 8 languages.

Sitting just beneath the surface and awaiting the more adventurous is a generously specified camcorder with a raft of advanced features. These start with a remarkably high ratio 22x optical / 440x combined zoom so you will never be far from the action. Shooting in low light conditions is no problem thanks to 'Night Mode'. 'Super Night Mode' uses a powerful LED light source so you can even capture footage in complete darkness. A new Night+ mode allows you to turn the LED on and off whilst shooting.

The MV750i camcorder includes Image Stabilization to keep the action steady without a tripod and a 1/6" high resolution CCD sensor for sharp images. The camera features DIGIC DV, a dedicated DV processor that raises the bar on image quality, recreating 'emotional' colors, tones and details to deliver images we humans love and remember: Redder apples, greener grass, bluer skies and warmer and more realistic skin tones.

Capture digital still images with 'Progressive Photo System' technology. The MV750i gives you the ability to capture stills whilst shooting video footage, and can even store these direct to either MMC or SD memory cards. A mechanical shutter provides true digital still camera functionality, eliminating the blur that plagues conventional camcorders. The vendor independent PictBridge standard is supported, allowing for PC-less direct printing to any PictBridge compatible printer.

Motion-JPEG files record direct to either MMC or SD memory cards for easy Internet sharing. Up to 60 minutes of either QVGA or QQVGA formats can be recorded straight to card or copied to card from DV tape. An Analog-In and A/D converter are included.

Premium Review Frisky filming!! (621 words)

looking at areas of my body language - speech and display that could be tweaked and improved. Being desperate I took him up on the challenge and borrowed his Canon MV 960 - I understand that when he bought it the retail price was £365 but when I finally came to purchasing my own after being dazzled I found it much cheaper at £265 from the Pixmania website. Although I didn t do the filming on the first occasion - obviously I have now had the opportunity to take the camcorder on holiday with me - to family weddings and birthday celebrations and each time I found that the range of features has been out of this world although at first it is very fiddly to get to grips with ...

her? Its art! The camera cost about £200 and I know thats really vague but its the schools camera and we used Tesco Computers for Schools vouchers. Did you wonder what we did with them? As such excellent value for money and a good purchase for our needs. Further info can be found at http://www.canon.co.uk/ForHome/ProductFinder/Camcorders/Digital/mv930/i ndex.asp I know it says MV 930 in the url but its the same camera as far as I can tell. I think the MV920 tag was for the model for schools! Thanks for reading. I ll check yours out to! Originally posted by myself (dhillcrest) on ...

Premium Review I can with my Canon (1046 words)

semi-professional market. As a film student I use larger and far more expensive professional equipment, where the lens is worth considerably more than the entire cost of my little MV 600i. Playing around with cameras at the top end of the market has shown me what kind of image can be captured and its similarity to broadcast quality film. When buying this camera I had a few small demands; firstly it had to be mini DV not just a digital card, the quality of image and sound is far higher, secondly it had to be upgradeable, all cameras in this price range have a very low quality of zoom/width, they usually have poor microphones and little or no lighting. The MV 600i has ...
