In designing the MV830 Canon's engineers have stuck to the maxim that technology is only worth having when it is both simple and useful. They have developed functions that simplify getting great shots and taken out any that stand in the way. The result: a camcorder that breaks new ground in uncomplicated performance. Controls are positioned for fingertip access to all the key functions. Getting around the menu is intuitive and straightforward. Within seconds of switching it on you can be capturing quality footage. Just flick the 'Easy' switch and the camcorder will handle all settings automatically. The MV830's high-resolution 16: 9 mode lets you film in true cinemascope as video is captured using the full width of the CCD sensor. Simply push a button and the camcorder does the rest, ensuring footage that's great for playback on a widescreen monitor. At just 5cm wide, the camcorder's compact body fits snugly in your palm. Despite this small size, its generous 2.4" color LCD screen gives you the detail you need to monitor recordings; brightness is adjustable to aid outdoor visibility. No matter what lighting you have or where you may be, you need never miss out on getting top quality images. The MV830's powerful 20x optical zoom, with its exceptional contrast and clarity, places you right at the heart of the action. Even at the strongest magnifications the MV830 captures high fidelity images with its razor sharp 1/6" CCD. The DiGIC DV processor, unique to Canon, translates these into warm, subtle color tones that appear natural and vibrant. Hand held shooting results in steady, calm footage thanks to Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). A mechanical shutter ensures blur-free stills that are fit to be printed as quality photos. JPEGs and up to 60 minutes of Motion JPEG are stored direct on MMC or SD memory cards for upload via USB. A DV out link lets you upload your movies, for editing on PC or sharing with friends. If you want to print a photo you don't even need a PC. Simply connect up the camcorder to any PictBridge compliant printer and select the image you want. Moments later you'll have a quality photograph in your hands. |

looking at areas of my body language - speech and display that could be tweaked and improved. Being desperate I took him up on the challenge and borrowed his Canon MV 960 - I understand that when he bought it the retail price was £365 but when I finally came to purchasing my own after being dazzled I found it much cheaper at £265 from the Pixmania website. Although I didn t do the filming on the first occasion - obviously I have now had the opportunity to take the camcorder on holiday with me - to family weddings and birthday celebrations and each time I found that the range of features has been out of this world although at first it is very fiddly to get to grips with ...

her? Its art! The camera cost about £200 and I know thats really vague but its the schools camera and we used Tesco Computers for Schools vouchers. Did you wonder what we did with them? As such excellent value for money and a good purchase for our needs. Further info can be found at http://www.canon.co.uk/ForHome/ProductFinder/Camcorders/Digital/mv930/i ndex.asp I know it says MV 930 in the url but its the same camera as far as I can tell.
