The MVX35i produces what Canon's engineers call emotional colors - bluer skies, greener grass and attractive, healthy skin tones. As a starting point, an RGB primary color filter does away with image-degrading signal-conversion for truer, more natural colors. To perform the complex algorithms necessary to then record these, all key processing and memory requirements are combined onto a purpose-built DIGIC DV chip. During simultaneous video/still capture, video and stills processing follow two discrete paths.

A USB 2.0 HS connector allows transfer of DV footage for real time streaming, fast dubbing, editing and retouching, direct printing and easy high-speed file transfer of still images and video files from the camcorder's memory card.
