Me and my friends saw these cameras significantly reduced on Amazon.co.uk last year and bought one each to film our band with. The camera itself doesn't feel very high end, in fact the build quality feels kind of cheap, the screen is also quite small and it can be hard to position the camera in a sturdy position to film yourself. There is a USB point attached to the camera so no wires to lose and it handily tucks away into the camera. It also has all the usual buttons, record, play, delete, fast forward etc and is pretty easy to use, and is very portable being about the size of a small mobile phone.
Once the camera has been turned on there isn't really much to say, there are a few settings and a menu to change lighting and you can also set the quality between normal, HD and HD+, I tend to keep the camera on HD for the best balance between battery life and video quality. Speaking of battery life, mine runs down very quickly and sometimes when I think I've turned it off the battery has run itself down so I usually have to charge it before use everytime. Also I had to return the product once before I got one that works, but my friends all got ones that worked first time so it could have just been a one off.
I was really impressed with the quality of the video once I had transferred it to my computer, playback on the actual device is not very good, also the sound quality is actually quite impressive, I researched this first anyway as I knew I wanted it to record my band.
In conclusion I find this camera really useful and I'm glad I bought it, but would be a little disappointed if I'd paid the full price, if I have some spare money in the future I would definitely upgrade to something a bit more substantial but still portable like a Sony Handycam.
