You get plenty of features with this camera. The NightShot function and built in light is really useful for when it's dark, you can record anything in any lighting conditions what so ever. There is a exposure contol also, so it won't be too light!
It has 20X optical zoom, 700 times digital zoom, which wasn't bad for when it was new.

The Buttons for Off,Camera and Play/Edit are located on a sliding switch by your thumb (The Camcorder is held in your Right Hand but Menu Functions accessed from the left!) The record button is just next to this slider so as you hold the Camcorder so you can stop/start recording as easily as moving your thumb. Weight wise it is not the lightest camcorder I have used but by no means the heaviest either somewhere between lightest and medium weight would probably be about right. Filming for a long time could get a bit painful on the wrist. The software supplied enables the user to transfer their art work to their PC and edit as required before outputting to DVD or CD. A few nice pieces of software come with it that are extremely easy to install and use. You can add music, commentary and titles to your masterpiece with little effort.
