I am not particularly good with techie things, but I found my camcorder pretty easy to use straight away. Have been using this for a couple of years now and have yet to try and load any of my dvds onto the computer (they are small ones!) but its on my list of things to do. Its easy to play the disks back on the TV though and all the cables required are already in the box. The battery life is good although as this is the first camcorder I have owned I have nothing to compare this with. It is really easy to use with no fussy setting up required, just one button record and off you go. The screen is really clear and you can turn it all the way round so that you can do some self-recording if you like! The display also tells you the battery life left and how many minutes remaining on your disk. Only 2 things I can think of that I would change is that when you insert a new disk and need to format it, you have to be plugged into the mains - which is a pain if you are out and about. You can however format all your disks in advance (which is what I should do!) Also no carry bag included and quite hard to find one which was a suitable size and not an arm and a leg. Hitachi don't seem to make their own.
The DZ-BX35E DVD Cam incorporates Hitachi's new Movie Master Technology using a 25 times optical zoom for outstanding performance. This ultra compact and stylish DVD Camcorder records straight onto DVD Disc and SD Memory card. With a wide selection of easy to use features the Hitachi DVD Cam makes great video recordings and gives you the best digital still shots.
