Panasonic DVD e.cam VDR-D100Enjoy remarkable 30x zoom magnification in a camera that fits comfortably and securely in one hand. The lens also features low distortion and since the zoom is optical, it captures both moving and still pictures with exquisite beauty. Panasonic MPEG2 engine is a wide-range, high-precision search engine that produces smooth, beautiful moving pictures. Because it records the differences in each frame, it can render fast, complex motions - like those of children in the thick of the action - with exceptional precision. The MPEG2 engine also uses the Variable Bit Rate system that Panasonic adopted for its high-end DIGA DVD recorder. LP (Long Play) mode now offers nearly twice the resolution of previous MPEG2 recording video cameras, giving you the best possible resolution at the longest recording times. Direct Mode Dial for a Quick Easy Switch from Shooting to Playback - Easy-to-understand icons indicate the modes for both disc and card recording and playback. Just rotate the dial with your fingertip to select the icon that corresponds to the mode you want. The joystick makes the camera much easier to use, letting you control all basic operations with one hand. As you shoot, just watch the image in the monitor and follow the instruction guide. You can handle a number of operations quickly and easily, without even taking your eye off the subject. |

your hand nicely. Its very easy to use, as I find all panasonic products are. The picture is good quality once you get the hang of it, we watched a DVD we made of our daughter and it starts off dark but by the end it was a lot better as we had gotten used to it. The fact that it takes mini dvds is also fantastic, we can put them in the games console or the laptop and watch them and they are tiny so easy to store or carry around. We found the discs are good value. We are yet to try it with a memory card. We havent even had to charge the battery yet, although we dont use it all that ...

Rating:
(www.askdirect.co.uk) for £550. After that I could not stop playing with this new gadget. I used my friend s JVC and Sony, but picture quality is far superior in this Panasonic one. Especially focus capability and color temperature is lot better on Panasonic. The vertical design is more comfortable for steady shake-free recording. and photo capabilities were added bonus. The sound quality is excellent and wind noise cut facility is quite helpful. But there were some design flows as Mini-DV category is still under evolution. The control buttons are only accessible by opening the LCD previe panel, so the SD Card slot. The Mini-DV eject was bit noise and require you to ...

I bought this camcorder online in 1999. It cost me £600 and was priced at £900 in Dixons. The main features I was looking for at time were: 1. Brand reliability 2. Digital format 3. LCD screen The slightly bigger size did not bother me much. I have taken it abroad and so far have recorded over 20 mini Digital Video cassettes. Every time, I've got perfect results especially when there was adequate lighting. However, in darker areas the camera does loose some color differentiation and the recordings are a bit bland. Night view works fine, allowing black & white movies to be recorded in the dark. Although I have only used it a couple of times, it is more ...
