An 8 MB SD card, included in the range of supplies of the NV-MX8, allows the device to be used even as a dictating machine. The recordings can be further processed e.g. in a computer. The NV-MX8 also allows you to record video spots in a compressed MPEG format. Because of their small file size, the sequences can be directly placed on a web site or sent by e-mail. The state-of-the-art "Bluetooth" technology enables the easy transfer of still frames (VGA format) from tapes or from the storage card. Radio waves in the 2, 45 GHz bandwidth transfer the data e.g. to a PC at a transmission rate of 1 megabit per second. Conventionally, still pictures and MPEG4 spots can be transferred from the NV-MX8 via a speed USB port. The NV-MX8 is equipped with both a DV and an analog input, which allows videos processed in a computer to be recorded on tape again.
