Panasonic NV-DS37 ... fun. DS37 is the entry-level e.cam, designed for high-performance digital video and easy networking. Packed with Panasonic's advanced digital video technology, the compact DS37 gives you top picture quality, easy operation and exciting e.cam performance.

Just slide an SD memory card into the DS37's slot and you're ready to store images which can then be uploaded to your PC and then attached to an e-mail, posted to a website or used in countless other ways. The DS37 also offers a DV output terminal so that the user can export DV movie footage through it to a PC for editing. Furthermore the analog in/out terminal lets you convert old analog tapes to digital.

Especially focus capability and color temperature is lot better on Panasonic. The vertical design is more comfortable for steady shake-free recording. and photo capabilities were added bonus. The sound quality is excellent and wind noise cut facility is quite helpful. But there were some design flows as Mini-DV category is still under evolution. I have recently bought the Panasonic GS30 camcorder. After a couple of months of use I have so say that I'm well pleased with it. The camcorder does all that is asked of it and plenty more. It has many more features than I could ever use, although still remains very simple to use. The camcorders size is one of the main reaons I bought it in the first place and although it is very small the buttons all seem to be easy to use. Connecting the camcorder to a computer is very simple using a firewire connection and uploading and downloading video is no problem. The set up is easy to use and downloading images and videos to the computer has never been easier. Also the camcorder is very reliable, i ve bought many Panasonic products before and have had issues with reliability, but ive had this for many months now and have not had any reliability problems. The only flaw with this is its ability to act as a magnet for sand when your on the beach. However it is easy to clean and the lens cover protects the lens when you arent using it. The battery life is very good and it has a lot of extended features like night mode and strobe mode. Perhaps the only problem with it is the fact that it only comes with an 8mb sd card.
