Advantages: Lots of features and easy to use

Disadvantages: not alot of memory for pictures(it's expandable though)

This is a great camcorder. the picture quality is excellent and taking videos has never been smoother.

The sound is great and with the dubbing feature you can cut out any unnecessary background noises

The auto focus is great, giving you clear sharp pictures every time. Yes thats right: you can even take great quality pictures.

The set up is easy to use and downloading images and videos to the computer has never been easier.
Also the camcorder is very reliable, i've bought many panasonic products before and have had issues with reliability, but ive had this for many months now and have not had any reliability problems. The only flaw with this is its ability to act as a magnet for sand when your on the beach. However it is easy to clean and the lens cover protects the lens when you arent using it. The battery life is very good and it has a lot of extended features like night mode and strobe mode.

Perhaps the only problem with it is the fact that it only comes with an 8mb sd card. This is fine if you are only using it for videos but that is certainly not enough space for a reasonable amount of pictures.

However, apart from that it is a great buy. It is certainly worth it if its in your price range.
