Panasonic NV-GS5EG ... smallest Palm-style DV camcorder. It is ultra-compact and ultra-portable at 470 cubic centimeters, 81% smaller than its predecessor, the NV-DS88. Its rounded shape and light weight make it easy to hold and operate. In addition, the camcorder's 'Free-Style Grip Belt' has a two-way design, either as a grip belt, or a strap for easy carrying. The digital camcorder has a 2.5", 112, 000-pixel LCD monitor, 10x optical zoom lens (500x digital zoom), and 800, 000-pixel CCD. The NV-GS5 records on a Mini DV tape. It captures megapixel still images on an SD Memory Card, and also allows MPEG4 recording on an SD card with monaural audio for a maximum of around 65 minutes in normal mode. It also allows up to four hours of audio-only recording on an SD Card, with playback through the camcorder. The model's 'Free-Style Remote Control' makes it simple to take low-angle, high-angle and fixed-position shots using a tripod, with fingertip operation of start, stop and zoom for easy handling. Its ergonomic design makes it easy to operate, whether you are left or right handed.
