At only one time, Vista 'accepted' my Panasonic and I managed to copy the 22 casettes into my PC, all in one day, hard work. Now it does not do this again, by no means. This camcorder is an excellent one and I am happy with it. I bought it some years ago (2001) and it has served me fine during all these years, used very often and taken all over the World. I am a happy owner. The tape is easy to lead, the system works fine and it never had to be repaired. I had trouble with passing the images of my mini-dv onto the PC for editing via Firewire. The Windows XP tok all information fine. Later the PC broke and I tried with Vista, only to learn that Panasonic did not produce any drivers for Vista and I no option.
