Panasonic VDR-D150 ... VDRD150B boasts the Super Image Stabilizer (S.I.S) system, which compensates for the effect of handshake as you shoot movie and still images - resulting in clear, sharp images. Gyrosensors detect the amount and direction of handshake and linear motors optically adjust the lenses as needed to compensate.

The VDRD150B is DVD-RAM/-RW/-R multi-format compatible. DVD-RAM is an easy recording media to use because of its unsurpassed durability, capable of being rewritten 100.000 times. Compatibility for three DVD-RAM/-RW /-R increases interchangeability with users existing AV equipment or PC, thus providing more enjoyment, freedom, and usability even after shooting has finished.

Especially focus capability and color temperature is lot better on Panasonic. The vertical design is more comfortable for steady shake-free recording. and photo capabilities were added bonus. The sound quality is excellent and wind noise cut facility is quite helpful. But there were some design flows as Mini-DV category is still under evolution. The set up is easy to use and downloading images and videos to the computer has never been easier. Also the camcorder is very reliable, i ve bought many Panasonic products before and have had issues with reliability, but ive had this for many months now and have not had any reliability problems. The only flaw with this is its ability to act as a magnet for sand when your on the beach. However it is easy to clean and the lens cover protects the lens when you arent using it. The battery life is very good and it has a lot of extended features like night mode and strobe mode. Perhaps the only problem with it is the fact that it only comes with an 8mb sd card.
