The Samsung VP-D381 digital cam, in my opinion, was a decent purchase. I bought it a year ago before my and family and I flew out on holiday. We already had a camcorder but it was getting a bit dated and felt just too big compared to some the latest models, we were looking for smaller camcorder but without having to spend a lot of money. We bought this item from Lidl when it was on one of their special weekly offers for about £60 although when looking online for current prices the cheapest I could see was £104 (seems I got more of bargain than I originally thought). I felt this was really reasonable as it was much smaller than our existing camcorder and seemed to do everything that our existing one did as well. Since then we haven't looked back, we have caught some great memories of our holidays, special occasions like or sons first Christmas concert at nursery and of course the odd embarrassing moment. It came complete with - Digital screen so can watch what you are filming as you are filming and of course when watching back what you have just recorded. The screen itself can be moved around for example if you are filming over the top a crowd you can move the screen down so you can still see what your camera is capturing. - Battery and charger - Cables to connect to your TV It is a basic camera but if all you are looking for is simple camcorder to capture those precious moments but you don't want to spend a lot of money, then look no further. Another good buy from the guys at Samsung.
We have all heard those hackneyed phrases You Get What You Pay For and Caveat Emptor (let the buyer beware), I think. Sometimes, despite a rather jaunidiced advertising slant on this most cynical of phrases, we find an exception to the general rule. This actual contraption is well worth a look, especially if you buy it knowing that it is almost certainly the cheapest gadget on the market at this point in time, with all the concomitant meaning attached to that phrase. Many of these devices feature a separate menu type button, and this is no exception, although a bit unwieldy to figure out at first. Aren't they all?? Nonetheless most of the basic features that you want are there so that you can record those precious moments for posterity. Material wise, the cam is made of what is often euphemistically termed 'recyclable materials' (code for plastic) but, what the heck, it still does the job. The cam is easy to use, seeing as it fits snugly into your hand like most latter generation cams these days, thereby intended primarily for the amateur user (like me, in other words!) and is easy to store in your bags if you're planning on taking the thing to Lanzarote or wherever. When you get back, suntanned and refreshed, you can re - live your happy moments by transferring the data to your PC, although there are some question marks about compatability with Mac users rather than MS Windows devices. The thing is, this cam is very light, reasonably user friendly, and it won't cost the earth (in either re - cyclable materials, OR cost), as you can pick this up for just less than a hundred quid. Only just, though. Be aware that, as I wrote above, you get what you pay for, and this thing won't be as all - singing and - dancing as a much more expensive device. But, to repeat - it's okay for amateurs and fairly rudimentary use. It won't do Star Wars Revisited for you.
The Samsung VP D381 Camcorder is a great high definition device that can be used to film video and sound. It also has a handy Widescreen video capture which allows you to capture using even higher quality. It's easy to upload what you've recorded to a computer and it can be edited in most video software. The device is nice and small and can be easily stored and carried around. It can be used for personal use to capture holidays or parties or whatever it is you want to film. It can also be used to film short movies or school/university assignments. The colour combination is nice too, it's a metallic black with chrome and brusehd alloy highlights and everything fits together perfectly. Overall it's great for anyone of all ages to use with simply functions and can be used in any senirio thanks to the 180 degree swivel HD monitor. A bargain buy for all new and current video enthusiasts.
