Advantages: compact design, feature rich

This is a feature packed high definition video camera. You will be surprised with what you get for your money. The camera it shelf shoots 1080i or 720p as well as standard definition video which is useful if you want to save on computer processing power and/or memory space.

The quality of the video is generally good in high definition mode with some sharp and clear images when shooting in light condition but it does suffer from grain and compression artefacts in lower light conditions. I found the auto focus to be a bit hit and miss and the stabilising features slightly below par.

The camera is ergonomically designed and fits nicely in your hand, it is comfortable to use for long spells of time. The camera has a large lcd screen, microphone input and a dock with HDMI, Component and composite out so you can hook it up to your television.

Overall the camcorder is great value for money. There are so many features that you would only expect to find on some high end equipment.
