The "easy-to-carry" compact size and the unique ViewCam style designed specifically for ease of use lets users shoot snapshot-like video from any number of fun positions-from high-angle overhead to low-angle underhand shots. And a High-Sensitivity Zoom Microphone that zooms in tandem with the lens to clearly capture distant sounds enables users to shoot video with a realistic sense of presence.

The VL-NZ10S also offers a full suite of basic functions, including a "Shooting Guide (Video Navigator)" that provides a usage guide displayed right on the screen, making it easy to shoot video, even for first-time users; digital still-image recording onto memory cards; PC networking functions using PC-based video capture software (purchased separately); and more.

This is the first camcorder I have owned but I have used plenty of camcorders owned by friends and family. What attracted me to the Sharp VL-Z1S was the price. It is one of the cheapest Mini DV camcorders on the market yet still boasts a fairly high spec. The camcorder is extremely easy to use. You will be shooting in just a couple of minutes.
