For the people who are looking for a high-quality camera to use in amateur film-making, or for a family camera this is the best piece of equipment I tried since now. Other makes like panasonic have very good products out there but getting all the features from this Sony one, it's just amazing!
Further on, if you are a gadget-lover you will be amazed with the network features on this little piece of equipement. I managed to connect to the Internet throught my Ericsson T39m in oly 5 minutes, using freeserve! The camera takes all the setting, like ISP number and email settings and the phone acts only as a modem! It's amazing to send messages with videos or pictures attached, just as you would from your computer. The truth is that it's all done through one cross-type button but it's quite easy when you get a hold of it! (I even managed to surf the web for a while..)
The nightshot and super-nightshot features give you something to play around with when you are in dark places, but they do look greenish, something that some people are put-off by.
The battery consumption is pretty fair, especially if you use the viewfinder and not the LCD screen. On the other hand things look so great through the LCD that you 'll never want to use anything else..
On matters of connectivity there are all sorts of stuff on it, S Video, Video, Scart for TV or Video, Firewire and USB as well as a memory stick placed in a very nice place.
Th edigital picture quality is amazing and the MPEG videos are very much fun to play around with.
Be careful to order a bag for it coz it comes without one and you will need it for sure, as the camera doesn't come with a shoulder strap..

I recommend it without second thought.. (Maybe the price was over what one would pay but it's worth every penny)
