I have only recently bought this product for the small fee of £1000 so haven't mastered it yet. However i have found it a vast improvement on its pretty lame analogue brothers. Features include a Carl Zeiss lens with 40x digital zoom as well view cam and memory stick function. The digital effects are amusing at first but won't be needed to much but could come in handy for drunken scenes (you'll see when you use the trail function) or creating ghostly images( overlap). It doubles up as a digital camera as you can take pictures and use the memory stick to edit them and print them on your computer. Ive only roadtested it twice. Once at a party and the second time at a local bands performance. It held up well and is comfortable to use. Id reccomend it for serious film makers as a start off camera before upgrading to a shoulder or free standing camera. It maybe a bit dear for just recording "precious panoramic moments".
It also encorporates nightshot and laser link. A great camera which shouldnt be needed to be upgraded for a good few years!!
