Easy peasy (Sony Handycam DCR-TRV140)
Member Name: fredelliot
Advantages: easy to use, picture quality Disadvantages: no case
Having just had a baby It was time to get a video camera, I wanted something easy to use, with one of those little screens and that produced reasonable quality recordings. I eventually settled on this base digital offering from sony. Opening the box to recording my first movies couldnt be easier on screen displays make things really easy to set up and figure out. Features are good and a lot will probably never be used in my amateur state. But the default options are well chosen. The camera is nice and compact reasonably light and produces movies that look quite professional. Battery life is excellent giving over 2 hours of continuous use. It is supplied with software to download movies to a PC which can then be manipulated and snippets emaild off to friends and relatives - quite handy when you live further away from home. Overall as a first intro to camcorders I cant really fault it apart from to say that supply of a little case would have been a nice touch. Summary: |
