Premium Review CAM FUN ANYONE? (833 words)

Rating:

on an old camcorder handed down to me from my mum and dad but as I had a few pounds given to me over Christmas I bought myself this Sony Handycam in the January sales for what I thought to be a very reasonable £185.99, it truly is a handycam very compact and light too. At first when I got home and eagerly unwrapped it from its impressive packaging I thought to myself I will still be trying to learn how to work this next January but I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of use once you have read the very straight forward instruction manual. Although the first look at the manual will frighten you as it did me by its shear volume you will soon see that it is only that ...

Premium Review Great home video camcorder (191 words)

We bought Sony ahndycam DCR -HC37e for Christmas and it was £142 at Cameras2U.com. We bought bag as well as it was a good bundled deal and it is really necessary. It is very easy to use. Commands are displayed on LCD and I found menu intuitive to follow. The only drawback is that screen can get dirty from fingerprints quickly. USB cable can be used only to transfer still frames/pictures from the tape to PC. You need firewire card and cable to transfer video to PC. Software which comes with camera is ...

Premium Review A Digital Video Camera to cherish (418 words)
by danfreedman - written on 25/09/00 (Very useful, 2947 readings)
Rating:

The Sony DCR -TR7000E is one of a new breed of cameras from Sony. In many ways this camera is an excellent compromise and offers the novice or advanced user a range of facilities which will cause it to remain the camera of first choice for many years to come. Digital cameras are appearing at a relentless pace, yet one thing remains a perenial problem for this breed of unit. Storage. There are numberous standards for storage media, all of which are relatively expensive. Sony has solved this problem at a stroke by combining a camera which uses Hi8 tape but records digitally. On a 90 miniute tape you can record in DV standard 60mins of film. At a cost of about £5 per hour, ...
