Advantages: Compact, easy to use, great results, easy to PC to DVD transfer

Disadvantages: It's right handed but I'm left handed

This product is brilliant. Easy to use, admittedly again right hand preferred but very versatile. I have tended to use the LCD screen to get the best filming shots and pan in and out. LCD screen has touch controls as well as manual ones on the body of the camera.
Takes Mini DV disks - they record for 30 mins - double sided ones are better. Screen tells you how long you have left for filming which is useful. Formats disk ready for PC transfer also dependig on set up mode will allows editing from LCD screen dependent on number of frames shot.
Leads for connecting to TV and PC. For viewing and transfer respectively.
Software for transfer onto PC, have used this to transfer on then burn to full size DVD, no problems.
Comes with charger, display light goes out once charging complete - this doesn't take long, battery lasts for about 90 mins if wanting to continuously run.
LCD screen fully rotates and sits back into the body, body has built in microphone - operator beware you are the nearest and clearest.
Some of the connection points for power etc have rubberised covers - you feel that they might break off in time, but in 2 years mine have not and are not worn.
Has a connection point for a tripod and side carry handle. Doesn't come with a protective bag so you will need to buy one.
