Disadvantages: no fire wire cable in package, no software to record software to computer (Burns CD/DVD Directly).

I have just purchased this new camera from sony ... it is good for home and personal use good picture quality and full of features with a combination of easy of use. comes with a docking station which seperates the port from the camera making it more compact and handy. Easy switching between wide screen capture and normal mode (!!!can record wide screen video - Good Feature!!!) .... and a lots n lot of features still to be discovered by me.
Package includes Camcoder, bettary (2 hours backup only), USB Cable, Power Adepter (Charger is inbuilt), Remote Controller and an A/V Output Cable.

finally i can say that it is a good deal to purchase a Sony HC46E Camcoder for fun and enjoyment and to keep your memories young for ever.
