The Sony DCR-SR190E is a smart piece of kit. You dont need tapes or Mini DVD's this camcorder records on its own built in hard drive, up to 28 hrs worth. The camcorder can be connected up to you PC via USB 2.0 for easy access and veiwing of your recorded videos. Which than can be easily edited before being burned onto DVD.
The Sony Handycam has a powerfull CCD megapixel image sensor which allows advanced HAD technology. You can also record your videos in 16:9 full widescreen or just use 4:3 for standard viewing. Sony has also included many features including, SST (Steady Shot Technology) to enable you to record 'shake free' and SNSP (Super Night Shot Plus) which enables you to record in low light and at night. The sound recording available is in Dolby Digital stereo which makes sure you get crisp surround sound recording. There is also an option to go a step further and make the Dolby Digital sound in 5.1. Thats full surround sound which will make your video recording sound as realistic as the environment which you first recorded it in.
As usual you have the option of manual or auto focus which the camcorder will automatically adjust the setting accordingly. It has a range of white and black fader functions and also scene selections which are simple and fun to use. The viewing screen size is 2.7inches wide, which is a good size for viewing what is being recorded and instant playback of your recorded material.
Like most camcorders nowadays, the Sony DCR-SR190E also acts as a digital camera.
