Fantastic camera, and worth the cash. Just don't expect HD quality from a HDD camera

Ok, so i decided to buy this camera, after my disapointment with another I recently returned.
So, after charging it, i put the camera through some tests, to ensure I was happy with it, otherwise it was on its way back to the shop.

The Zoom is only 12x Optical and 800x Digital, but this is more than enough for everyday filming (unless you do a lot of long distance recording of course)
The LCD screen is big enough at 2.7", and it is touch screen, which is a nice techy feature, as this reduces the buttons on the side of the camera.

The weight and size is fantastic. Its tiny, and fits in your hand well. It feels so light that it feels like a toy, but it doesn't feel cheap.

Memory, this was one of the MAIN features that turned me to getting this camera (as im sure the same reason for you) It has a 30gb Hard Drive, which is more than enough as my last camera was a Hi8, which only holds 60mins per tape. It would take aprox 4-15 tapes (depedning on quality setting used) to fill this memory. This 30GB hard drive will easily hold 10 hours of high quality recording.

The ease of downloading your video's and Pictures onto your PC / laptop is soooo easy. I just plugged it into my laptop, installed the software, and simply Dragged and dropped the files from the camera, to my desktop, it couldn't be easier.
Nightvision, what an excellent feature. My first camera was Sony, with nightshot plus, and i can't live without it. It shows images in complete darkness. And what's great, you can take still / photo pictures too with the nightvision on so no need for flash.

The sound is great, with Dolby it dosn't loose any sound at all. Great once burned onto DVD and using on the surround sound.
Cables included are, Scart cable, AV cable, USB cable, Charger and a Docking station to sit the camera on.

Battery life isn't great at about 1.5hours, but you can buy a better one for around £50.
Focus is fantastic, and focus's well at long distance, and short.

I have been hooked up to an incar mount located on my headrest, which is used for track days / drag strips. It handles this well, and provided your bracket is solid, there's no distortion to the video.

Great value for money, but honestly, try before you buy. I went to a High street shop, tested it out, and then bought online for cheap. Good camera, and i am more than happy with it.
