Surround sound adds an extra dimension of realism to your videos, just like at the cinema. 5.1-channel recording captures crisp, lifelike audio that sounds great on your home theater system. Best of all, you don't need extra microphones or cables: everything's built in to the camcorder. Faces can look dark and underexposed in bright, backlit situations like a sun-drenched beach. And if you're shooting indoors there's a risk your subject's skin tone can look unnaturally colored. The camcorder fine-tunes focus, exposure and skin tone for more natural looking faces. |

Rating:
No HDMI cord and the output on the camera won t fit existing cords thus forcing you to buy one from Sony - poor form. Additionally, there is a Handycam docking station (which has proven handy for static filming indoors) and finally the software (including a little video with tips on improving your videos). The 4GB memorystick pro duo has enough for just over an hour of filming on default setting. The supplied movie editing software works with my laptop (Vista). First impressions weren t great sparse layout not helped by its slow response times and (sorry Mac users - is not supported - though you have a website for details). The major issue is the warning that ...

Rating:
In typical Sony style, as soon as you open up the box, this camcorder looks great! Small, sleek and stylish you instantly know that you won t be looking out of place with this beauty. It s small size does take a little getting used to, and finding the best grip is very important so that you can reach the necessary buttons with your thumb and fore-finger. Once the grip is sorted, everything you need is in easy reach - the on/off (and quick-on - kind of like a sleep mode) and the all important record button is at the tip of where your thumb rests. The zoom is on top of the unit and is very easily accessed with the fore-finger, and so also is the button for taking photo s. ...
