Handycam DCR DVD 205< The series DVD 205E, is the video camera you will have undoubtedly seen in the palm of many tourists near those hotspots you go to on a Saturday to get away from the trouble and strife of everyday life. I have had mines now for over 2 years and can t say there is anything absolutely untoward about the 205E. Sony Handycam DCR-HC37E ... bought Sony ahndycam DCR-HC37e for Christmas and it was £142 at Cameras2U.com. We bought bag as well as it was a good bundled deal and it is really necessary. It is very easy to use. Commands are displayed on LCD and I found menu intuitive to follow. The only drawback is that screen can get dirty from fingerprints quickly. Battery life is decent for our simple needs (children playing, birthdays, holidays with children). My wife is using it without any problem although not very technically savvy. USB cable can be used only to transfer still frames/pictures from the tape to PC. You need firewire card and cable to transfer video to PC. Software which comes with camera is ... Sony Handycam DCR-TRV245 ... brought this about 4 or 5 years ago, so it is getting fairly old now. I brought it from Agros, at £300, which, at the time, was a good deal, however, you now see camcorders 10 times better, smaller, and lighter, for a much lower price. Damn, if only they were that cheap back then... But oh well. The camcorder s looks is pretty nice, looks modern (even though now fairly old), and quite stylish. In it s time, it was fairly small and light, but obviously now you ll get lighter and smaller, but it is fine to take around anyway, and in the package I brought it with, I got a case I can take it around in.
