Advantages: Great quality budget HD camera
Disadvantages: none really (considering the price)
The H10 is Toshiba's budget high definition (HD) camcorder. The idea of securing a HD camcorder without paying a fortune for it would have been impossible not so long ago. However Toshiba has unveiled its new H10, a high-definition Camileo camcorder looking to fill the video-capture needs of its users without emptying their bank accounts along the way.
It is built around providing high-definition image capturing capabilities and intuitive functionality at a cost-effective price point, the palm-friendly Camileo H10 is offering itself up to an expectant European market for a pocket-friendly estimated purchase price of £179.99 GBP (which is approximately 225 Euro).
And what can prospective buyers expect to receive from Toshiba in return for their monetary outlay? Well, the Camileo H10 comes complete with a 5x optical and 4x digital zoom, HD resolution performance equating to 1280x720p, video encoded in H.264/MPEG4 formats, 64MBs of integrated storage, and expandable memory of up to 8GBs via SDHC memory cards.
According to Pocket-Lint, Toshiba notes that a full 8GBs of additional storage will provide users with as much as 4 hours of captured HD content, which is 30 minutes of high-definition footage for every single gigabyte of memory.
Beyond its video functionality, the H10 can also serve as an impressive still camera thanks to its 10 mega pixel CCD image sensor. It also comes equipped with a handy Night Mode and a selection of on-board photographic effects to further boost its appealing versatility.
